I know that as far as FL’s go, this one is naïve and a bit damsel-like, but honestly? It absolutely makes sense. There is the proper background story to explain exactly why she is the way she is: the way her self-esteem has been systematically demolished, and how she has lived her whole life on the receiving end of neglect, contempt, and belittlement. So even though it should be annoying to me, for once it's not. Her naivete comes from ignorance, not from being some holier-than-thou greent tea girlie.
I was also positively surprised by her brother’s characterization. Like yeah, he’s scum, but unlike the two-dimensional mean brothers in many other isekais, this garbage human at least tried to save her when he attempted leaving.
As for the ML... desperation never looked so attractive lmao.
and so, so, so corny aaaaaaa
This isn't bad necessarily. It's a very typical isekai story. So far the plot and the characterizations seem a bit lackluster, as if it's written by someone who just wanted to write an isekai story but didn't really have any of their own ideas for it. So it's very much a copy-paste of many other stories of its kind. But definitely not the worst!
SPOILER:
One scene tho that to me was cringy was when she went to the information guild and used coded language by saying "I'm here to buy some red milk for the cat", and when the clerk asks her what's the red milk called, she says "information". And that's just... like, wtf is the point of using coded language at that point?? And everything the follows is just so childishly written.
Overall this is easy reading, and I think it'd be very enjoyable to someone who isn't too used to isekai stories - that way it will feel new and interesting rather than dated. The art is nice too, and so far there aren't any characters that you just hate.
Just started, at chapter 5: How you gonna rape someone twice and say "we both take the responsibility for this"???
Also his ex needs to burn in hell. The glimpses of him and what he did to MC make me wanna hurl.
I like the MC. I wish him the best, and even though I know the story is probably going to be full of angst, for now I'll hang on to see how he survives.
Chapter 7: "how can he change his mind so easily" does this monumental moron of an alpha not realize that the level or rationality is different when an omega is in heat vs. when they're not? Like, I don't think Dojin has bad intentions, but at least for now he seems to look at everything through a very privileged alpha perspective. And harm caused by ignorance is still harm.
Chapter 9: Okay, at least there're some apologies and acknowledgements of wrongdoings. That's way more than what we usually get in the genre. Also Yulha saying "I'm very annoying" hurts my heart because every single person who has told me that they're annoying, has eventually turned out to have had people in their past who kept treating them as if they were.
Chapter 13: I still think that the way Dojin acted in the beginning is absolutely horrid and ppl defending him are questionable at best. That said, I also think that MC needs to be loved clearly and unconditionally for him to start healing. That doesn't mean ignoring his boundaries, of course, but at least right now Dojin is very clear about his interest, even if it's currently at the level of "taking responsibility" and not "I like you as a person".
Chapter 15: Yulha is ADORABLEEEEE and I will actually beat that ex with a crowbar.
Chapter 17: Piss off, glasses freak. Also Dojin you're losing points fast again.
Chapter 19: Yulha is FULLY within his rights to not want to see you anymore. I am glad tho that he revealed what his ex did (even if not in detail). I think Dojin should know what exactly is Yulha's trauma for him to understand why he responds a certain way. Also the translation took a nosedive so let's see how this goes.
Chapter 20: The friend is right in many ways in what he's saying about not every alpha being bad and that MC can't let every memory shut him down, but idk it feels a bit dismissive towards Yulha's trauma. "Hey I know your ex prostituted non-consensually, and was generally very abusive towards you and that the next alpha you interacted with assaulted you like 4 times, but I'm having a good relationship with an alpha so that debunks your fears." Then again maybe the friend doesn't know the extent of what happened?
Chapter 22-23: Oof Dojin undoing the little good work he did before. Congrats on retraumatizing Yulha I guess. The good thing is that maybe (???) it forced Yulha to be decisive on their relationship?? Also I hope Yulha's ex will SUFFER. I hope he suffers so much he regrets being born, omg.
Chapter 30: HIS LIDDOL FEET *sob* Yulha is adorable, and I really hope that him and Dojin can keep their current dynamic going. Despite his flaws (AND ACTIONS!! I haven't forgotten how we started) Dojin is somehow still less toxic than the vas majority of semes out there.
Okay now I've read everything there is so far, and I'm honestly looking forward to reading more purely because of Yulha. I want to see him happy.

I know some of yall like Agnes and she (at least as far as I've read) genuinely has no bad intentions towards Maxi, but imo she's exhaustingly annoying and I can't wait for her to pack up and leave.
HAHAHAHAHAHA SAME!! I’ve had enough of her no offence
