So, first reaction at seeing pictures: oh wow finally a hot, older ML! More of these older guys!
And then I started reading and... ??? grooming doesn't even begin, and I'm bothered by how the grooming is just portrayed as an okay, normal thing. Like this isn't trying to be a dark manga addressing grooming, this is just a story romanticizing (granted, we've only got a handful of chapters so far) an older guy being interested in someone since they were a CHILD.
Sigh.
interesting, but a bit too early to really have an opinion. I'm loving all the finance bits though, it's so nice to get a lil bit into the details of things.
I fully agree with the commenter who said that the first part is great and deserves 5 stars, but that "once the author decided to push them to the side to focus on the second couple, the story didn't do anything for me". I felt exactly the same. I didn't dislike the second couple, it's just... I feel like there's so much more we could have still experienced with the first couple that it just felt meh. I ended up scrolling past chapters just to catch a glimpse of them while the author focused more and more on the second couple.
tldr: i wish we could have just focused on the first couple, or at least gotten a proper wrap up for them.
I know that it aint the endgame but I want lin to end up with brother xu instead of the boss. *sob* would have been SUCH a good ship! I'm a bit bored of the boss tbh, so might drop this soon anyway.

this is SUCH a perfect comfort story when you want something sweet but don't have the energy for a plot-intense angst train. I saw someone describing it perfectly in one of the comments here: this isn't really a plot-driven story, it's a slice-of-life where we get to experience Baby's love story with Johnson. It's so freaking good, and while they do have some hiccups here and there, generally their communication is great, and characterizations are great as well.

...but this is SO good!
First of all, Jiho is an utter icon. Is he slightly delusional? Yes. But I love him for it. Him and Woohyuk are a pair of clowns in the best way possible, and the perfect couple. Oh you thought they were two cool guys? WRONG. They're unhinged in their own little ways and just suit each other perfectly with their RIDICULOUS antics.
I also liked the bit with the producer. I saw ppl talking shit about Jiho for being unsure abt Woohyuk and kissing the producer - luckily it wasn't as big of a deal in the story as I worried it would be. It was part of Jiho learning and growing and exploring, and honestly without it making Woohyuk a bit jealous, we'd have gone nowhere with the ship.
The inclusion of Oli London (dont yall dare tell me it wasn't him!) was HILARIOUS and perfect, and his portrayal was just *chef's kiss* .
I liked this story from start to finish. The only thing I wish we had gotten in the spin-offs, in their relationship being revealed. That fujoshi worked HARD for the boys, she deserves validation!!
Omg you are so right in everything you said! I love this couple dearly and wished the fujoshi got to see her babies love each other. It would’ve been great if we could see a side of them where they revealed their relationship. Honestly this was super healing and I just had to say that your comment made me so happy

Agreed with everything you said, I don’t get why ppl are being so harsh on Jiho when he’s exploring his own feelings, he’s kind to the producer cause he feels comfortable around him, and he did right by telling him that he chose Woohyuk instead of stringing it along. I wish there was a bit more to the story post show, I really thought that atleast Jiho would be a small influencer, posting his delicious & easy to cook for broke ppl meals, his cute cat and also his boyfriend that he’s living with, which would undoubtedly drive the antis/ haters insane haha
I saw some comments lamenting that their relationship is ambiguous/one-sided in the end, or that the romance isn't obvious. Imo that wasn't the case at all. They confess to each other eventually, and they kiss in the end, and even though the dating is never explicitly mentioned, it's kind of implied. So it is a satisfying ending as far as I'm concerned.
