I'm loving this but also Ennid's whole experience is giving me war flashbacks of my phd student days. The shit some phd students (and even some post docs and junior faculty) had to put up with was very similar, and the way some tenured professors set out to destroy careers for petty reasons was nothing short of nightmarish. If Ennid decided to turn into a villain and burn everything down I'd support him.

It doesn't happen to everyone, but most have either experienced it or seen it happen, and it's really down to luck if you manage to avoid it altogether.
does anyone have any recs where the family gets to a point where they actually show genuine remorse and the MC doesn't just forgive them? I feel like this one has really good potential, and it left me wanting for more.

I'm fine with eventual forgiveness, just so long as it doesn't come too easily. I think I've read and abandoned too many stories where the MC just forgives the family without them ever apologizing or even acknowledging their past shit behaviour. So what I'm looking for would be a story where the forgiveness takes a while to be earned.

honestly it's a pretty okay story, and the art usually isn't too bad either - I've read and seen worse. It's just... the times when the art depicts her with cat ears or one of those triangle-teeth, something in me cringes too hard to continue. IDK what is it about that type of art - maybe because it's such a 13yr old artist from tumblr core, but I just can't with it.
The ML scares me though. He has lied, manipulated, and gaslit her constantly through every conflict they’ve had
I'm just wondering how long will it take for ML to find out his real identity... on one hand mc is sooo different (regarding appearance) that it shouldn't be a quick and easy acceptance, but on the other hand I hate how drawn out things like these can end up being... Any spoilers are welcome!

I’ve read the novel and im telling you, both of them met. We are almost at the part where they’ll meet each other but neither of them recognize one another. If I am not wrong, the first to recognize about their real identity is the prince. Anw, their interactions are funny and I hope to see it soon.
