super cute but a part of me is still annoyed at how the duke ruined the guy's life and livelihood just because he didn't like the novel. Unrealistic? Yeah no shit, it's romantic *fiction*, it's not meant to be realistic.
Anyway, all this to say I really want him to grovel a lil eventually.
TBH this could be amazing, and I hope that eventually it will be. It's just that MC's whole character being "responding to everything with violence" gets boring when she just keeps doing it. Lacking empathy and beating everything to pulp EVERY SINGLE TIME is dull.
...but so far the weirdo prince has been the best candidate for her, matching her freak and all. I bet he'd say yes to any and all her shenanigans - not just the knight thing but also the detective play, etc.

I don't like the prince at all but I don't disagree with him regarding the childhood promise. It was a promise made between kids, and the maid girl should have let it go (or at least expected that even if it meant the world to her, it wouldn't necessarily be mutual). If someone I knew barely for one summer years and years ago showed up expecting marriage, I'd be grossed the f out.
