i feel the same! i really enjoy moondae but found myself getting bored with this story and the MC. for me, it's because the story seems to be very low stake. MC's group has been successful from the get go and there isn't really any long term conflict. in moondae's case, he will straight up die if he doesn't debut, plus he acts mature so it's more realistic and enjoyable to watch him interact with kids younger than him and form attachments with them.
couldnt stomach this bc the people who tried fantasising these characters as that one gacha game. i dont want running around seeing their face doing bad deeds.
like they dont really look like the character people were claimimng they look like, but i have flashbacks of their faces everytime they do bad shit like rp or smile evil af.

Abandoned, abused child(mc) lives in orphanage and is bullied and also SA by director daily in orphanage. Such a child who is living in darkness who has never known happiness, starts feeling negative emotions, such as resentment for the world and end up doing a mistake in his school by getting jealous of ML son who lives in light and becomes a reason for his death.
Then ML adopts mc for revenge. He see him getting extremely bullied in orphanage and rescues him and learns that his father was abusive too and his mother had abandoned him, background story.
Well the revenge plan is still in picture. Uke has now unrequited love, feelings for this savior and thinks of ML as his world. Someone who saved him from hell.
Tho ML is unable to directly kill him coz he develops feelings for uke as a father, (whether as lover too, wasn’t too clear) pity him, but still chose to take revenge in a cruel way.
That is to kill uke’s most precious person and in uke’s happiest moment. And that happiest moment is when he returns uke’s love.
Then ML stabs himself in front of mc with knife. While saying some hurtful words. And brings mc hands to grab knife(trying to implicate him). Mc try to kill himself right after tbut remember ML words to live and suffer the loss of loved one. Police come at that moment. Mc is so heartbroken. He says, I killed him to police thinking to himself if dad wanted him to suffer then he will suffer.
It has tragic ending coz revenge, hatred wins over forgiveness and love in the end.
Tho father’s death isn’t confirmed as story ends before he’s taken to hospital or police or anyone confirms it. I think author left it that to readers imagination.
