Concept started off really unique and interesting (humans look like dogs and dogs look like humans? Whoa!) but sadly things have gotten boring fast. I think curing Webber of his “dog condition” so early on and trading it for a cliche amnesia gimmick was a mistake, there’s a lot they could have done with the dog thing, but now too much time is being spent away from the main pair and the focus is being lost elsewhere. It’s fallen into the trap of multiple back to back chapters just to flesh out a backstory and that’s rarely a good sign. It’s like theyre trying to make the plot way more complex than it needs to be, keeping things lighthearted and comical would have been the best for this kind of silly premise. We don’t even have any steamy sex scenes to help break up the monotony of the pacing. Too bad. Might have to drop this or revisit some other time.
