I’ve read some ridiculousness, but my patience has a limit. Multiple “I thought I was dreaming” s*x sequences almost back to back, then a misunderstanding, then a r*pe, then another r*pe, then more forced s*x to relieve the drugs from THAT r*pe, good grief I give up. I have whiplash for sure. And I’m only at chapter 28?? I’m not opposed to dark themes or even dark s*xual scenarios, they can work well if it’s supposed to be that type of story, but this tale is also trying to play itself off as as some kind of lighthearted comedy? The tones are everywhere. It feels like they didn’t actually know how to get things started between the Duke and the Tutor so they just went with the quickest, easiest route possible. Set-up and atmosphere not needed. Too bad, man. It’s a drop!

The very first one WAS a dream.
Second one...tutor thought it was a dream again and extorted the Duke. So technically the Duke was raped.
Third one...the Duke got him drunk to interrogate and tutor thought it was a dream again and propositioned the Duke, again. It was more mutual drunk sex than rape.
Fourth one, yeah the Duke got pissed and made demands. He was jealous and thought that the tutor was aware of everything and just using him.
Fifth one, was due to the drugs. The Duke was basically being used by the tutor to relieve the poison...that was something they both acknowledged.
Sixth one, the Duke thinks they are dating and tutor thinks it's sex friends.
That's as far as I got because of a loading issue. Will read more later.

Seme is nice and all but there’s just something “off” about him, I can’t put my finger on it. I think that’s why I find him so interesting, because no matter how he acts you feel like he’s a sliver away from doing something crazy. I relate to the office worker girl who called him creepy. He is. Can’t wait to see more because it just feels like the author intentionally put an unsettling vibe on Joh and I want to know why.

I love Shin and Jake’s chemistry so much. Might be one of my favorite dynamics in any BL story I’ve read, at least so far. Usually when one guy is highly charismatic and clever they make the other easily flustered or gullible BUT in this they’re both equally quick-witted and snarky which leads to some pretty funny (and sexy) exchanges. It’s really fun to read. They kept teasing some vers action in the earlier chapters, so I can only hope that Jake eventually gets topped too? Heheheh….

Yeeeeeeah, his cover was definitely blown that night at the hotel. “I don’t think I slipped up” you decided to get drunk knowing darn well that you NEED to stay alert and guarded in order to get away with this disguise. Lmao I don’t think anything super explicit happened, but buddy boy definitely didn’t keep his hands completely to himself. Or saw something.
An easy pitfall to land in when using flashbacks is making them last too long, and I definitely think that holds the story back here. ( In my humble opinion of course) Reading it became a little tedious. Certain points about their pasts could have been summarized into much fewer pages and conveyed to the readers just as well. It actually feels like the romance came to a peak prematurely with how quickly they met and became an item, I wish more of the many pages dedicated to their pasts could have instead been dedicated to getting to know these two a little better? Kinda feels like the flashback story is the story that the author REALLY wanted to tell and was the most interested in, I'm wondering if the comic should have just started there from the start. Again, all personal opinion. Im sorry that it’s a drop
