There are so many mangas like this but I don’t understand why this one particularly got me

After reading the new chapter, I remember why I hadn’t read bl mangas for a while. Their shitty sexism. BL mangas need to chill with misrepresentation of women and focus on men if they don’t know real women work.
Sexism is a strong word and I agree all the women here seems like bitches or flirts. But you cant just come in the comment section to complain, if all you focus on sexism then you must be a really annoying feminist that doesn't understand the plot, this manga is full of bitches not just women and if you want good bl that doesn't have bitches in them I can give you some recommendations. But there are also a lot of bls that focus on women being supportive and being their friends and all that crap. Sooo idk, it is what it is. I mean there are a lot of bad women who are like that, so why not have that representation? Honestly, I think women are being portrayed as holy and good MOST of the time these days in tvs, movies, books, etc. while men are being portrayed as evil. I wouldn't mind having more diverse AND realistic representations, and maybe address some homophobic and sexiest women at the same time too.
BTW, this is why I read bl, because it has less of that sexiest stereotypes of men and women.

I understand everyone's point of view. All good, all valid. Just remember that these are mangas meant to entertain, rarely anything more. I do not think the authors and artists are making personal points of view priority in most comic books (there are ones that are socially and politically charged and realistic, seek them out and enjoy). Most tend to be over the top, and a bit fantastical. So take your comics with the spirit of ridiculousness most are meant, if you don't enjoy one, move on to the next.
I see it everywhere. If they were some of them, it would make sense but when you see something thrown around a lot (for example sexist jokes are common in my country, and I live in Iran which is pretty sexist both governmentally and culturally); it reflects a social belief. That’s why it got me because it exists almost in every manga/animes. There are some mangas/animes which aren’t like that tho, but mostly they are. After speaking to some individuals, they also agreed that it reflects sexism in Japanese society. Then again, I don’t live in Japan, I can’t say this one individuals were right or wrong, but I can tell by the mangas

Very well put. And I agree, but I do see some changes over time. This is a tough medium, and especially this kind of genre. I think most just write what they think would fit the plot and create a situation to forward the story. So many are stereotyped villains (abusive boyfriends, orphaned and paying off a parents debt, forced into porn, bitchy ex-girlfriend/wife,etc), that's why I can't take it seriously. Your absolutely right when you touched on unconsciously "reflects a social belief"; because Japan is still very sexist when it comes to women But it has actually change a bit over the years. Here's hoping the slow change keeps happening. :)
lol BL manga are made by women for women, ya know? Pretty sure they know best how women work. There are plenty of females out there that are like that. But females aren't the only one displayed as sluts/bitches that look to break up mc relationships, there are plenty male assholes that get in the way too. This happens in this manga too. HOWEVER regardless of sex, it is true that the honeytrap/homewrecker ploy is getting annoying. Sucks that the mangaka thinks that throwing in another woman is the way to progress Makio and wachi's relationship.

There is something off about this story. I know sex isn’t everything in a relationship. And i get it people might have preferences. But I don’t think this works out well, the glasses guy clearly want to be the top as well and i think the mask dude is acting a bit selfish. I think it’s the best if he finds somebody who matches his preferences, instead of selfishly forcing himself on the other guy, while he clearly isn’t satisfied with this situation
