Just for anyone like me who came here for that & are going to be disappointed at the lack of romance.

Spoilers warning but someone please discuss this with me

Okay so I know Im a true love cynic after being burned too many times in life but is the alpha really a healthy partner? I mean he says nice things and doesn't non consent the omega but then in the end it feels like the omegas biggest fear still came to life. I mean his entire personality just feels beaten down at the end compared to the lively, confident, and independent person he was in the beginning.
The alpha might not have forced him to quit his job but instead he bought the omegas workplace to keep an eye on the omega 24/7 and interfere with his work--which felt quite symbolic of treating the omega like a possession, buying and owning the thing that the omega had originally exerted agency for. Then in the last chapter the omega has zero agency and it's just so sad to me. So I'd love someone to change my mind but it just seems like the alpha is one of those fake good guys that are only surface level nice but underneath it all are toxic AF. And maybe I'm reading too much into it but the character development change of the omega feels so shatteringly sad to me that I can't get it out of my head.
