No I think I hate machida a little more. Because she really is wrapped up in Hakamadas basketball and is way too defenseless around him. It’s supposed to be her job to protect her relationship just like she wouldn’t want some random girl constantly confessing to Naruse and trying to show off for him. At this point I feel like Naruse just needs to dump her and kick Hakamadas ass. He deserves growth and maturity that doesn’t revolve around this petty love triangle

Right because I don’t get It. One minute he’s accepted he can never have her and the next he wants to be a show off for her. I’m sensing the mangaka wants Shou to rise to the occasion and step up on the court too to ward off Hakamada (because Shous main problem was that he was basically lazy). But why can’t he get that inspiration to do better elsewhere? It HAS to come from the fact that Hakamada is trying to steal machida? What kind of petty purpose is that. And as an athlete, this is just insulting. If you’re doing a sport for someone else’s sake, especially in college, you shouldn’t be playing period. So I want Naruse to get better for his own sake and his own reasoning. Not for machida or Hakamada (￣ε(#￣)Σ
As I read this, you know, you are kinda right. How interesting it would be if Naruse broke up with her?
Without telling her anything, just maybe saying "this isn't working".
And then Machida just becomes really serious and realizes her lack of implication in the relationship and how everything was on the plate.
And then Hakamada to snatch her, and the interesting twist would be: Hakamada telling her indirectly how bad she is in a relationship and then she would realise how good Naruse was.
(And then you know breaking up with Haka, etc working hard to get back together with Naruse- making an allysion to the start of the manga where Naruse worked his ass off to get with her- etc)
I would seriously enjoy it if it turns this way.
Finally, it's time guys. After 20 years (kidding) of waiting, finally we're getting there. It slow as hell but this dev makes it worth it
