He actually really loved her, but to protect her he had to act as though he didn’t favor her so that the Grand Duke wouldn’t gain favor from the nobles. He said having the baby was a “mistake” because that meant that the baby could become a potential successor. After the baby was born the Grand Duke gained a lot of support and his efforts of trying to protect her were gone. The grand Duke then killed her because he didn’t need her anymore, and then the crown prince killed the real Veronica as revenge... But then the Grand Duke killed HIM. I though that the fl there going to choose the green or red hair guy but then i read somewhere saying that the ml is the crown prince. and I stop reading it after the fl reject the green hair guy.
