And the reason he kicks her out is because riri became upset because the people HE invited were insulting her about her mother. The only person who comforted her is mc and not ml. He then blames mc why the kid is upset and demands she leave.

Yep, they are. Spoilers said that there is an accident which causes the duke parent's to die. From that day, the timeline was cut off. The Luca which is kinder, older, and much mature was able to be awaken and continue living because of Mc's presence but the current Duke that we're watching looks like wasn't since the way of his actions and thinking is the same when his parents died. Also, the name "Luca" is not the duke's name but his grandfather whom he temporarily borrowed. Like the Luca is continuously growing but the Duke was stuck in his past self. Same person in different timeline.
