let's be real here, the mc was gonna run away wiyh the child and face a bunch of consequences unless they spoke to him that way. for a person like that a slap in the face to bring them back to reality may look harsh but helps in the long run
I think they are really helping him cause if they dont speak to him, mc and the ml will have more misunderstanding in the future making the story complicated. Plus the mc lacks emotional quotient so them being the mc's guide is really helpful.
The way they are treating the situation isn't gonna stop him from running it's more motivation to go
your really gonna try to run away after 2 people constantly being on your ass and have even set up a way for you to make it right and are helping you through every step? then atp you deserve whatever happens to you after all that
