She did the same thing before meeting the duke as well, just in case her plan did not work, and because she knows he doesn't wanna have kids since he already has a heir, so it didn't really matter.

The funny thing is that the male lead has something alike, he's unable to have kids unless they do a ritual kind of thingy on the female. So even if she was able to, she won't get pregnant, due to the duke's condition. But her actions complicated everything, and... I won't spoil anything more haha

Okay so in the dream world Lucia ate a plant after her first period which if consumed in a heavy amount and for a long time can make a person sterile. And after a long a time she found a doctor who knew the cure to it.

So,back to the real life. Lucia again ate the same plant willingly as she knew the cure now and can cure herself anytime if she wants. Now let's talk about Hugh. The taran family has kind of a Constitution which renders them unable to have children unless it's out of incest and all the Taran male are born out of incest. The male members have sex with their half-sisters to produce male heirs and to birth girls they sleep with other women. Now these women have to prepared to give birth to a taran child and this preparation includes eating the same plant that lucia ate for a long amount of time and then the cure Lucia found. The doctor lucia found in her dream world was actually the Taran family doctor and that doctor's family has been tasked with preparing the women to birth girls, for generation.





Long story short, after three years of their marriage Lucia gets pregnant and has a baby daughter named Evangeline, who has both Hugo and Damian wrapped around her finger btw. XD
