Mind you. The only thing that is applicable to this is Jay and Daniel. But there are very few moments with them later on and it hurts my heart a lot. Also like there's just a lot of fighting. I have no idea where the story is heading. So like read until everything becomes more outside of school. The second when stuff happens more outside of school man... But Jay's new semester design is real cute and so is Daniel. I will go down with this ship.

Okay I don't have much of an excuse here, but my type are literally men's bodies that looks like the men here. I won't say BL neurons. I will say triggers feelings of gay when I look at the hair chest of these men (ps am woman). But if similar to any gay manga written by Japanese gay men, they have this same body type and uh...
That everyone he loves is going to get Lloyd to get his head outta his ass and they are going to win this fucking thing.
I know he has seen his and all of his loved ones die multiple times and he's afraid and even feels hopeless and guilty, but Lloyd is capable and has capable people around him.
Lloyds a goddamn cockroach and always weasels his way around things to get his way. There's no way he's gonna die and he sure as hell isn't going to let anyone else die either if he can help it. He's an extremely greedy man. And even if his loved ones die, I'm sure he'd find a way to bring them back alive.
After he gets his head outta his ass.
That's my true belief.
I know the comment section is really sad. I haven't been reading far enough as to why and I didn't really read the comments at all. Uh... Not sure if it's a good place to say it but I'm doing it anyways.
I really like the world building that bk_moon does. I've been reading bountiful harvest demon king (both novel and manwha) and while rereading the series after a while, I saw the farmlands of the demon land and I felt such warmth. I saw the man, the demon king possessor work his butt off for the betterment of demon kind. And although, I'm sure that there will be many rough patches in the road for the demon king in that series to prevent him from building a place where demon kind don't have to starve, I am glad to know all of his work for the demons will be a success. So much of a success that 4 more generations of demon kind were living happily without having to worry about starving. I mean their lives are not ideal as it could be, but he did everything he could for them and laid that foundation for future generations to come. All his people's hopes were brought to fruition. And it made me so happy to see that.
Also, I think it's wild that the Credos got with someone. Also, no offense to the Credos, but when I saw his descendant I was a bit shocked remembering how lovely she looked. After reading bountiful harvest, I just kind of assumed his uh... features would be strong enough to last 100 generations that's if he got with anyone.
Wait fuck... I realized that story is a prequel... The Javier and Lloyd looking characters... They are their descendants????? Absolutely wild that Lloyd looking guy was a servant and Javier looking one was a noble. I want to know the lore to how their descendants had a role flip. Although, that might have been a bit the director might have put out... But Bk moon would have agreed to the bit!
Welp now time to read the rest of this then once that done, Dragon King's Chef. Then the rest of medicine prince.

I keep reading just to keep hurting. The intro was light-hearted and then I started reading more just to hurt. And then hurt some more. This is just hurt no comfort so far ;-;.
My man deserves to be happy ;-;. I keep reading hoping that'll he'll be happy, but ahhhhhhhhhhh.
I'm setting this down. I'll come back when my heart is ready.
I want to get angry at the male lead, but I think more angry at the author. Shit just happens so the FL can be in danger so he can save her. I guess that is the premise of why ML went back in time, but there are many moments in which are not implied to have happened in the past for the FL.
Shit genuinely happens to bring them closer and the author really can't make anything else up to bring them closer other than FL is in danger and ML dying like it's kinda funny, but noooooo.
It's just rapid fire, how many times can we make the FL in danger and have the Duke stalk her so he can save her. There are multiple of times he appears of thin air a d the only reason why I think he can is because he stalks her. I don't the author really had that implication of stalking in mind, but there is literally no explanation as to why he's always there to save her and like bruh.
Like it's supposed to be romantic, but none of this romantic to me. Know that this is my opinion.
I read this as a novel and the novel is significantly better in a lot of regards.
First of all, it's better in pacing which honestly it's not that much of a high bar to surpass. However, there was consistency from one plot point to the next
Second, internal dialogue. This manwha has little if any internal dialogue. In the novel, it had a ton of inner dialogue to show the thoughts and feelings of the FL. In fact, I loved it because it showed how much distain she had for her son-in-law and her own concerns for the other one etc. It's so so good.
Thirdly, Reading the novel, it felt like the FL was playing chess and not really fully opening her heart for the Duke or anyone except the younger son-in-law. Every action she did felt intentional and calculated. This manwha is like. Idk idk what this is.
Fourth, details. The novel was so much more detailed in telling how the FL sees the people around her in a more intimate way. How she looks at an action, how she saw the Duke based off of her own precious knowledge, etc.
Fifth, how they portray the FL is more villainess and
antagonizing and sinister. I remember the scene in which the guy threw his sword at her while riding her horse. He was aiming for the horse but the simple thought of him harming HER horse made her feel such malice towards him. How she maneuver herself to gracefully kick the sword from piercing her horse, how immediately afterwards she told her maid to throw his sword into a "Shit Bucket", word for word, SHIT BUCKET. And it really focused on her and her maid talking about the sword being in a shit bucket like it's great. She's so much more of a character in the novel. Like what happened to my girl (╥﹏╥). There are so many times in which scenes that characterize her so much are just cut out entirely like bruh.
Believe me when I say, this manwha maybe ehhhhh, but the novel is great and I suggest if you like the premise of the title to read the web novel heavily. I read this novel back when mangago was down for like a month (that was years ago) and I had to find another way of entertaining myself. I found this novel with the most interesting title and I ate it up. This THIS NOVEL is one of the most entertaining novels I've read during that time next to the Stationary Store one and Monstrous Duke.
It's just rather unfortunate this adaptation is everywhere. I want to know what went wrong during the adaptation because honestly it has so much potential, it's just that they couldn't pull through somewhere along the line.
I mean besides his incompetency and judging people so fast at the start, it is implied that he is a "reward" of sorts that, in a way. With the mentality of "Why wouldn't Emma like him? He's got everything to him, he's the prince, got high magic power, what is not the be desirable?" I mean that's what society always says and that's what the king says too like have Emma engaged to the prince as a compensation since that seems like proper collateral.
However, us as the viewer knows that the engagement would heavily lean in the Royal family's favor instead of for Emma's family or for Emma's well-being. It's due to that perception that the crown prince is desirable which bleeds into the prince as well. There is that sort of implication with the prince when he has that mentality of "I'll become someone worthy of you" that he kind of assumes once he's become "worthy" of her that he thinks he'll get with her. He's emotionally investing his feelings into her without having that input from Emma herself on what she feels about it.
I've seen that a lot in some media where the man who puts emotional investment in a woman and there is always that implication that he'd have the investment returned with interest. However, that's not really how reality works. Even if you are emotionally invested in someone, the person you are invested in does not have to return those feelings. And I kind of hate the prince for having that mentality, but it's unfortunately an idea that's predominant thoughout society (in fiction and reality). In the end, it makes sense for a kid that's very impressionable to develop these kinds of thoughts since (I'm assuming) he's surrounded by them, but it's also because he's a kid that he can learn these lessons and grow as a person to become a good leader. So, overall, I think the prince has potential, it's just that he's going through his cringe era and I really hate seeing it. That's my opinion tho. Potential love interest to Emma tho... Noooooooooooo.
Also on the other hand, I think I like Joshua because he seems to know that his feeling aren't guaranteed and doesn't really expect Emma to like him back whatsoever. He's just happy to be of use to her and to be within her presence. He's like a fanboy with his favorite idol in a healthy way and I really like that dynamic. However, who Emma ends up with is on her.
