Welp, it's either that or some kinda Plot twist that his name will only get revealed when he finally fallen to the BL tropes he's been trying to avoid, I mean those BL pairings have their name/personality/likes and dislikes shown once after the story takes place or in extras, so as long as our Mc is nameless he's still safe, it if we got his name that just means he's practically part of the BL now and not a mob person anymore ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

Might be a little late to this but for what was in the box, we can see that he had rat poison and the shadow thing whatever that came out of the box had an outline of a rat so I’m guessing dead rats. For the second question, everyone’s heads works differently. Saying “hello” or smth like that may be too broad or bold for someone so meeting by “accident” or “coincidence” or even “fate” seems more romantic and stuff so that’s maybe why he approached like that?
