Idk where the plot is going but I do see that by Dan offering himself up when jjk knows its not really the time for it will allow jjk see that he really fuck him over as a sex object. When Jjk realize he is in love with Dan, how will he be able to undo Dan's thinking of being an object and how will jjk be able to be with someone that he physically, emotionally, and sexually abused? Dan wouldn't even consider being with him bc of all the abuse. I think that is when we really see the chasing chasing arc. And once grandma pass away, I can assume that he will attempt to take his life which will throw jjk into utter chaos.

Okay , this is my assumption on ml curse and mc's isekai. I believe that mc may have also perhaps isekai but also lived in this world twice. I think in the first life in this world, something tragic has happened that resulted to mc's death. In despair, ml turned time back to before she died at the cost of his heart, the curse shortening his life. I believe the black magician who is mc's friend and maid is the one who helped turned back time in attempt to save her as well.
I know ml encountered a black magician (lets call him Fucker) as well in his childhood but ml's curse was described to be strong and is nearly scary to break and nearly unbreakable. Fucker's experiment was traumatic, but it was a lot of fucking around to find out.
A curse that sounds unbreakable at a heavy price sounds like it requires more than that. To me, it sounds like reversing time was a heavy price paid. Plus, stories like this tend to throw readers something to make us think its this when perhaps the obvious was right here the entire time.
Mc is probably the key to fixing this bc she, if I'm right, is the reason for the curse. And why did she died? Probably from her family, fucker, and emperor.
