Yo fr weird af how people are reacting to this. The airport scene was the one that made me really facepalm out of frustration because Seonho acted so fucking toxic by threatening to break up? Like he info they had is that bff had tried to fucking kill himself, cmon, how tf won’t you cancel the vacation? Like I understand the fact that Seonho was frustrated, I understand the fact that bff is a manipulative , narcissistic sociopath, but still?? The aftermath was terribly portrayed imo. Also after everything, how did the bff situation got resolved? He was an extremely toxic person, they just kept being friends without acknowledging all the problems?

I feel like this story touched on many very complex topics and dynamics and didn’t commit at all to fully resolving them with the appropriate depth and research and time it needed. It leaves me with a terrible impression of shallowness…

It's obvious readers reacted that way because unlike the characters having their own perspectives and point of views, us as readers can see all of their perspectives and point of views.
It is understandable the MC(B) chose to stay with his friend when he threatened him with self harm...but it was also understandable that the MC(A) "threatened" him with breaking up.
We literally know the friend has an unhealthy obsession with the MC(B) hence why he threatened him with something like self harm, knowing the MC(B) cares about him because of how long they've known each other there's no way he wouldn't go to him.
But never AT ALL should someone threatening and blackmailing close friends with self harm be justifiable. THAT'S immature and people like that need to grow up.
MC(A) clearly knew how his life/relationship would be (quite literally a toxic and mentally draining one with probably no love if MC(B) were just gonna rush to hia friend's side at every beck and call as if those two were the ones dating) if he did stay with the MC(B) with a friend like that. And someone not wanting their life to be a trouple with an obsessive friend being in that relationship is extremely understanding. Hence why the decision to end the relationship was completely justified. That was literally one of the best decisions the MC(A) made. If your own partner is choosing someone else over you then they're not for you. Just leave and find someone else who is. Yeah they've not known each other for long so that's kind of a big jump...but you're forgetting the MC(A) actually knew of the friend's intentions and had already told the other MC(B). If you tell your partner something like that and they still haven't set clear boundaries (it's not like youre asking them to end their life long friendship, just set boundaries because it's an unhealthy relationship) then you should definitely leave. Your partner might as well just be in love with their friend instead.

Like the person who replied to you said, this story touched many complex topics but didn't commit to them entirely. Or maybe the writer themselves didn't understand how complex these relationships/topics were and just wanted a happy ending quickly.

But to say the readers need to grow up for not wanting to side with someone who's supposed to be a trusted friend threatening a close friend with self harm while he's trying to spend time with someone they're in a romantic relationship with is extremely ridiculous lol.
