Have I turned stupid, I'm a bit confused about some things? Does this country have both an emperor and empress? Are they using the words queen and empress interchangeably? Because what's fifth empress? I assume princess? or not?

The top ruler is the emperor, but the emperor has many wives. The official wife is named the empress, who is the ML’s aunt and the dead princesses mother. The following wives are know as the queen, the 2nd wife is the 1st queen and so on (the queens are basically concubines) Any children that the empress Bona will have direct claim to the throne, even if it’s the youngest out of all the children the emperor has in total. The 5th emperors they talked about was actually supposed to be 5th queen, there is only one empress, even the daughters of the emperors are called princesses. Hope that clears up the mixup for you.

When I saw her on the battlefield, I was so fired up, like yass, a badass queen. But hmm, I must say her character is a bit...not here and not there? Tbh I'm a little disappointed
