i truly believe manga authors can sell even the most fucked up pairing if the chemistry is crackling, and the writing is decent enough but unfortunately, neither of these things are present in this absolute nothingburger of a story. BORING!
i like that the mom looks like a “Real Asian Mom”, tacky heavy makeup and all lol. too many of these manhwa moms are dignified looking with the most tasteful fine lines and when they do look like yoomin’s mom it’s usually done to signify that they’re evil so this is a nice change of pace

i think the problem is that it’s clear as day he has zero experience when it comes to relationships. yes, he is grown as fuck in his 30s but that don’t mean everyone at the age has experience when it comes to relationships. it seems he devoted majority of his youth focusing on school & whatever that’s going on with his friends & taking care of their daughter. i know how he’s acting is annoying but i honestly understand where he’s coming from because he feels as though he’s holding her back because she’s still young. he’s moving selfish as hell but they’ll eventually work it out. not every relationship is perfect they’ll work it out.

i feel feral whenever they show mincheol and haesoo’s past and i like the ML but god, sometimes i wish it had been a story about this horrible failmarriage. he used to be crazy about her and as controversial as it is in these parts, i think there’s still a lot of love buried under his resentment of her.
i don’t think people understand how miserable poverty is and how quick it can kill someone’s emotions. being in love is a luxury when you’re dirt poor like hs and mc were, so it’s understandable that their feeling for each other dimmed over the years. this is not me making excuses for mincheol, btw, i still think cheating was wrong and he’s a bastard but the author did a good job portraying why that happened.
