one of the few mangas to make me like the second ML, omg. i hope sanari mans up and fucks off so our FL can at least try to find love and happiness with the guy actually willing (and waiting) to reciprocate

i feel feral whenever they show mincheol and haesoo’s past and i like the ML but god, sometimes i wish it had been a story about this horrible failmarriage. he used to be crazy about her and as controversial as it is in these parts, i think there’s still a lot of love buried under his resentment of her.
i don’t think people understand how miserable poverty is and how quick it can kill someone’s emotions. being in love is a luxury when you’re dirt poor like hs and mc were, so it’s understandable that their feeling for each other dimmed over the years. this is not me making excuses for mincheol, btw, i still think cheating was wrong and he’s a bastard but the author did a good job portraying why that happened.
look, i love a good slow burn and i think the gradually simmering tension is delicious… BUT i’m getting a bit impatient now where is the angst? the jealousy? the bitterness? the yearning? how are we 40+ chapters in and yoomin doesn’t even know who hyundo’s ex is oh my goddd
can we please get a panel of her studying?? i am worried for her future
i truly believe manga authors can sell even the most fucked up pairing if the chemistry is crackling, and the writing is decent enough but unfortunately, neither of these things are present in this absolute nothingburger of a story. BORING!
i like that the mom looks like a “Real Asian Mom”, tacky heavy makeup and all lol. too many of these manhwa moms are dignified looking with the most tasteful fine lines and when they do look like yoomin’s mom it’s usually done to signify that they’re evil so this is a nice change of pace
he’s too damn OLD to be doing this bullshit omg!! i’m on her side 100% because at least she has the excuse of being young, and inexperienced meanwhile, ML is doing an angsty teen boy “pushing her away so she doesn’t get attached” routine like he’s not in his 30s
i wish ml was a tad bit more expressive during the sex scenes. like, i understand being stoic and unmoved is his thing usually but it just makes me laugh seeing him so emotionless while literally inside the woman he practically pestered into wanting him back for months now lol
it’s shaping up to be yet another manhwa where most girls besides the FL are arrogant and bitchy while all males are somehow super kind, even if they appear otherwise at first lol so i’m dropping for now

i think the pace we’re going in now is good so i hope they realise their feelings gradually and don’t just wake up one day fully in love

on one hand, i think the dad plot twist was incredibly stupid and hacky. on the other, i can only be grateful that this isn’t another manga where a woman (in this case her stepmom) is the Big Bad manipulating the men around her to do awful things to the FL (although, and even though i trust this mangaka, there’s still time for this to be a reveal, unfortunately)
