If he heard the story from his father, it would be: "Those people wanted to harm your mother and overtake the kingdom", if he heard it from his mother, probably: "It was horrible, but your father is not to blame".
Well I guess in the end it his reasoning for killing Il will mostly be that Il was a bad king.

he likes her cleverness and how she acts out of the ball park for her status and such. he's currently operating under the assumption that she's millie so thats why he thinks he has her all figured out.
Millie is that TM nice girl so he thinks he's cracked her code since he's seen this snide sarcastic and witty side to her, when in reality its just aria. And yes, he sent the platinum blonde haired guy to test the waters and get info on millie. thats why he (the blonde man) made remarks on her not being what she was described to be. these false reports further fuel the princes interests tho lol, bc he thinks she's going though all this trouble to hide her true self when in reality millie is just a dumbass.
Also, I believe this is currently just an infatuation. homeboy is haughty and arrogant, and as aria said, he acts like he knows everything. he's just playing with what he thinks is a new toy but obviously once he realizes his mistake he'll be all shocked. there looks to be room for character development on both sides and their personalities seem to bounce well. it looks like she'll humble him and he'll allow her to truly enjoy her life out side of revenge.
Hm, yeah, that makes sense. Somewhat.
