^^ If you’re looking for a story where the uke is a submissive doormat who gets mistreated, abused, and disrespected by the male lead and other characters, there are plenty of those out there. Sadly, that trope is more popular than you might think. Personally, though, I despise those kinds of stories — which is why having a uke with this kind of strength makes him one of my favorite types of characters.
