I actually really like this (currently at ch26). Idk what the person talking about MC being a clueless idiot or something - sure, she's reckless and sometimes lets her mouth run before she thinks, and she would benefit from communicating better, but that doesn't make her a complete idiot.

Something I really like about this, is how MC doesn't automatically villify her half-sister and her father's mistress. She doesn't forgive them, but she's sympathetic and understands where they're coming from, rightfully calling out her father's actions. That's so refreshing to see! You can have sympathy for someone even if you don't forgive them for their wrongs. And yeah, that perspective is correct imo - they suck, but the fault lies in MC's father for being a pathetic coward.

I do hope for a redemption for MC's half-sister. Not necessarily for her and MC to become close, I think that bridge has been destroyed long ago, but for her to able to leave her abusive mother and start fresh elsewhere, for her own sake. I just want to see her being given a chance to right her wrongs and be shown that one can change and move on from the past, especially as she is a victim of abuse as well. Either way, interested to see where this folds - especially considering we got them leads being romantic and married already! It's refreshing, haha.

Okay but this is genuinely so fucking good already. I'm 20 chapters in and I want so much more. This actually focuses on the dragon aspects so much, way more than I expected from the description! There doesn't even seem to be any leaning romantic interest from either side (one could argue w the Duke, but I see it more as a general admiration of Lydia's skills as well as some complicated feelings about that and how they've been missing a proper trainer for so long yadda yadda. Basically, there's interest, but no way I'd say romantic.) I love the relationships the characters have to the dragons. I love the dragons's personalities. Just ugh!! I need more!
