The game is changing drastically already I think maybe if they all gain awareness that that game might become “real life” and maybe that is the only way to actually beat the game, to really survive after everyone is aware and conscious but then maybe it’s truly life or death and no respawn…idk but this story is one of my favorites in a long time and I’m on the edge of my seat already with only 8 chapters in!!

he is a rapist but like a satirical version of one. you know how in so many mangas there’s always the dude who’s ultra possessive and rapey but it’s brushed aside because he “loves” the main character? well here it’s the same but the author made it clear that it’s completely unforgivable and horrible and there’s no real way to justify it. maybe understanding this angle will make it easier for you to read?? like it’s very obvious that reo the rapist will never be romantically involved with kazuya and have a redemption arc in that sense
Yes, that's totally a satirical version of those kind of romance with possessive guys which everyone finds cute "because he's in love", as @liszts said.
I think even the main characters reactions are a critic of some reactions you can get in real life, like Katsuya who's like "Eh but you liked it nah?" or even Kusuya who refuse to make a real big deal out of it.
Harada is an author who cleverly (but still cringy af) talks about hard subjects like rape, abusive or illegal relationships, mental abuse, etc. If you cannot bear it I suggest you to avoid her Manga ^^'
