Now I wanna see them in the next chapter so bad! (≧∀≦)
Also, aww poor Mo's hands were trembling while holding the bag of money! I know it was because it was a large amount, but I wonder if it was also because he felt so overwhelmed with Jian Yi's generosity that he had to excuse himself so as not to break down in tears, only covering the fact by turning away and stating that he'd buy him a drink. Imagine that!- Mo offering a drink to his friends! Now THAT'S something I'd never seen Mo willingly do for another person.(≧∀≦)
isn't it just as wrong to gossip about another person with others behind their back as well? As much as Mirai didn't like Sooah, she and all the others shouldn't have said/spread rumors around about her, cause it's just as bad at what Sooah's been doing. I'm probably going to get downvoted like crazy, but there are some aspects to Sooah's story that relate to my own life as well.
I was never popular with people, but I was considered beautiful by most people where I lived. Due to my shy nature, I would compliment people and be nice to everyone. Though, I realize that no matter how genuinely nice you are, there will always be people that will be jealous/don't like you/etc. I found out over time that many of the girls were talking bad about me behind my back, excluding me from events, you name it even though I hadn't done anything to them. In fact, it was quite the opposite. It made me very depressed because I thought I had done nothing bad, tried doing everything I could to warm up to others, yet it was all in vain. I stopped trying to talk to people after that.
Though Sooah's character appears to be terrible, there are certain things I've noticed that make me believe she has some good inside her and she is misunderstood. Remember when she found a homeless cat and tried to take care of it by asking everyone if tuna was a good food option? I think I remember people looking at her puzzled, not realizing she was asking because of that reason. Sometimes, I feel Sooah herself doesn't realize that she might come across as sly and what she does may be construed as something bad. She might have genuinely asked the girl's admirer "what if someone likes you right now?" Hoping to help the girl out instead of appearing to have been flirting idk...or Sooah might have tried to have flirted.
If Sooah turns out to be an actual nasty person, then I take back everything I say
I actually find Sooah kind of relatable too. But same goes for Mirae. I like this toon cuz both of them are very realistically portrayed. Neither of them is the "good person". Both of them is just trying to do what's best for themselves. Mirae and Sooah have actually same kind of problems even if they are very different on personalities.
Both of them have done:
- grading people according appearances
- be afraid of getting bullied and outcasted
- try to make themselves pretty with questionable methods (Mirae with surgery, Sooah with throwing up)
- talk about someone in a negative light
- etc.
The reason why people tend to like Mirae more, is that her honest side is shown more. I don't think Sooah is the "bad guy" just because she makes bad choices but I definitely think Sooah needs help just as much as Mirae.
(I also dont think Sooah is very genuine with the "what if someone likes u right now" as it was shown that she has done this kind of things on purpose since she realized she actually has a place with her beaty, i just think she might have twisted sense of morality right now)
I think that Sooah deserves our pity, but not our sympathy, if you know what I mean? Like, plenty of people have gone through much worse things and not come out as such terrible people. Not to say that the fact that other people have suffered more negates Sooah's pain, but I think it does show a weakness of character on her part. I don't believe she's an irredeemably terrible person, but she really needs counselling/therapy to help her work through her abandonment issues and crippling insecurity because not only is it seriously affecting her emotional, mental, and physical health (she's very likely depressed as well as definitely bulimic, there's two mental health issues right there) but it's also hurting the people around her. So do I feel like Sooah deserves pity and needs help? Yes. Do her terrible life experiences excuse her bad behaviour? No.
However, I really appreciate how this webtoon explores characters like Mirae and Sooah, as well as topics like plastic surgery, gender roles, objectification of women (and men, to a lesser extent), etc. I hope we get to see Sooah grow as a character and get to a place where she can be genuinely happy and content with herself and stop being a bully. Becasue that's what she's doing--in her fear of becoming bullied again, she pulls people like Mirae and that poor girl from junior high (the last place girl) down in order to lift herself up, and that's NOT okay :(.
HAHAHAHAHA he put the phone in the fridge cause he was distracted HAHAHAHAHA

the beginning of this manhwa started so beautifully with them having steamy sex and with the seme being affectionate, but I'm worried that it might go down a dark path. I wonder how he'd react knowing the cute lil uke hyung he's pining after is a half vampire. At this point, he's so in love with the uke that I don't see them having a rift in their relationship in the future if the truth about him were known. Makes me wonder: could the seme turn out to be a vampire...or a vampire hunter?
I personally hope the seme isn't a vampire and I like the fact that the uke is. I never see enough cute vampire ukes whose semes are ordinary humans.
The art, steamy scenes, characters, EVERYTHING is awesome right now! There's something about the seme that I really like. Usually manhwa/manhuas would begin with a douchey seme with no affection, but here, it's different. He genuinely is smitten with the uke in a cutesy way and considerate enough to leave him coffee in secret so it would help him in the morning. Especially with the raws, I love how he likes kissing him in the cheek/neck and gives him hickeys xD

Knowing how Mo's brain works, I'm expecting him to act err...quite different towards He Tian at this point, which might be a bit of a problem. Here's why:
He's been increasingly on edge because of his dreams of He Tian which even he has realized, are considered borderline gay. Now that He Tian, the subject of his strange dreams has returned, I'll imagine Momo being increasingly on edge. This is most likely Mo's first time feeling soemthing for the same sex, esp. for someone like He Tian. Knowing Mo's personality, the concept of liking/ feeling weird things for He Tian will frighten him enough for him to want to keep away from him. For example, if He Tian ever touches Mo in a normal bro way, Mo will be more self-conscious of it than before, making him extra defensive/overreact. This will prob make He Tian notice as well (hopefully).
Hopefully, Mo will realize his feelings and not shy away from him.
Yeah i agree with you cuz right here the last page he wanted to hug Toan ...badly. And Mo was worried about him that os why he was checking his phone a few minutes ago...
