This has been my concern for a while but like when they suddenly say things like, "the body of the person he loved the most" and then they show his brother--- it kinda gives incest vibes and this isn't the only time either. Even just how possessive his lil bro is for him isn't like family level affection either. I mean if u like incest romance I'm not shaming but it always gives me whiplash cuz it ain't that kind of story

OH My GOD. See I knew I wasn't fucking crazy! "he feels strongly and passionately when it comes to Yoojin, the subject of his obsession". It really sounds like he wants to fuck his brother and we all know possessive types. So what happens if his brother falls in love with someone else, is bro gonna try to kill them? Also, "Han Yoohyun's ideal type of person is Han Yoojin in every sense". Woah??? Normal sibling behavior my ass. Thanks for helping me un-gaslight myself. This was rly insightful.

Sure you can interpret it that way, but overall with their whole story, i don't think the obsession is that far fetched or misplaced cus babe if I'm going through the shit they've been through (and it's also heavily implied their childhood wasn't anything normal or good either) i don't think most people would be normal siblings after that. Plus you can't put your standards (someone who has never gone through post apocalyptic scenarios) with them now can you?

yoohyun is not human. he's got a human shell but he's the purest form of fire or smth. so its very in-character for him to not understand/care about human standards. yk how fire is like right? it STICKS to anything flammable near it. so him being obsessed with yoojin because yoojin is the only person who accepts him fits him. lemme remind you geunseo also considered yoohyun to be a popular ship candidate along with hyunjae before publishing the novel... the novel/manhwa itself doesn't have any outright incest-y scenes so ig we just have to ignore some things if we wanna enjoy this story XD

Look. If u want to try to change my mind about something u believe in, then try to convince me with proper reasoning and share your point of view. But the first thing you did was what? Get sarcastic and ask if I even love my family? Then you assume I'm western? Who the fuck are u? Do you fucking know me?

Oh that's a good theory. Makes me think back to role conflict in families. Like you know how kids are expected to be kids, but what if a kid has to play the role of a parent to their siblings? I do know a few people irl with those circumstances, but their siblings are not overly possessive and obsessed like how their relationship portrayed here. Ofcourse we have to take into account that his S-class traits basically make him a yandere. But if we're talking about putting standards on post-apocalyptic scenarios, I don't think anyone has gone through that yet, even more so the author. So why did the author choose to execute it that way? Like was the author IMPLYING something? Was I the only one who thought that it was a bit weird? Or is this purely for character development? But eh why? That's why I brought this discussion up. Thanks for your input

you're free to interpret their relationship however you like. for some it might look incestous, for some it might be familial love similar to parent-child; the entire thing is a little dubious. i personally didn't find anything weird about them. at times i even understood yoojin's obsession with giving pre-reg yoohyun a proper funeral. there are people who love thinking yoohyun has sexual intentions towards yoojin but that's merely a headcanon. there's barely anything to support such notion.
chapter 151-152. you see yoohyun crying like a little kid who lost their parent in an amusement park. (just wanted to add it)
can i ask what part of execution of their story/dynamics did you find to have suggestions of incest? if i missed anything i'd like to know

I read all of thses comment and i understand. But... As a person, the person i love the most? Is my sister and there is no incest thingy there i just loved her not that ideal type i am a woman and nope i don't have any seggsual attraction to any person or any human beings. I don't have other people tp be consodered as lovers and i am 29 years old already. What i am saying is, in yoojin's part it is NORMAL. I repeat, it is normal to loved your sibling like they are your whole world without any malisciousness just simply love them. So i get it if you feel icky maybe you are not family oriented but reading your comments made me wanna puke. Because i see myself in yoojin. So when you said that "it gives you an incest vibe" damn human not everyone are not affectionate to their siblings and not everyone are malicious like you. So yep, it disgust me, even i am a fan of yaoi your comments still disgust me. And mind you i had already read the worsts of worst yaoi manga but still it disgust me. So yup. Stop it's disgusting. If you can't do everything for your siblings then don't but don't judge those who love their siblings like their world as yoojin do. It's disgusting.

This is basically what i thought as well, though I'm not disgusted by OP's comment, just kinda disappointed and disturbed that out of what I've been reading so far with yoojin and yoohyun, i really just see them as extremely traumatised children who was forced into an unforgiving situation that ended up making their relationship a little more difficult to decipher compared to other people

I'm sorry that you felt like I was attacking your relationship with your sister, but i think you're projecting. I'm not talking about you. I'm also not really referring to yoojin, I'm more icked out by the obsessive and possessive behavior of yoohyun. I just wanted to have an open discussion and see if people had the same subconscious ICK as me regarding the way the author wrote their attachment style, more specifically the attachment style of the younger brother to the older one. And if I was the only one who thought the writer wrote him "too unhealthily obsessed" and where this direction would take in the future plot. But idk why people immediately assume I have a shit relationship with my sibling. Maybe I just have different boundaries than you. You know nothing about me and yet called me disgusting multiple times and malicious. Who the fuck here is really malicious?

I'm surprised. Can I say I really appreciate you for going along with my random (and somewhat disgusting to some) question? I didn't expect anyone to really take me seriously and ask for references. It was just a thought I had for a long time that I kinda word vomited into a post. I've been reading this since a long time ago so I didn't take note of any references. I was mostly commenting on the vibe. So if ur really serious about asking, I'm going to have to read back and take note of the chapters and why it led me to think a certain way. Also for the record, I take back my first statement of Yoojin giving incest vibes based on yours and @katak's arguments. I am more open to seeing it a different way now (well that is until I read back and dont change my mind). Oh but Yoohyun on the other hand.... ehh.... I still dont....

I think the whole point of their relationship is that we're never able to understand it in its entirety (even if it's not incestuous, it does get uncomfortable). Personally, it kind of helps me to think that Yoojin and Yoohyun's relationship is more reminiscent of a parent and child. They don't act like "typical" mainstream media siblings. But seeing their intimate connection as more of a caretaker/kid helped me internalize their relationship better (and the way Geonseo intended their relationship to be so)
However, I get your comment. There's only one writing choice I just completely disagree with and it happens later in the novel that did actually give me the ick that you're talking about. I won't mention it unless you're curious, but I'm glad it didn't turn out the way I think it did. It just kind of weirded me out when it did happen, but thankfully Geonseo didn't really commit to the idea fully.

Thanks for sharing! U honestly helped me organize my thoughts. I think the way I worded my OG post triggered some people when I said "incest vibes". It's definitely not incentious, like you said, but some parts do make me feel uncomfy. I guess I wasn't able to get that point across well when I was referring to "vibes" lol.
I also believe that a very important part of consuming any kind of media is trying to determine what the author really intends to communicate through their work. So whenever I got that uncomfortable ick when reading about their relationship, I tried to asked myself, "is it just me? Or is there something more to this? Something the author wants to build up to? Or the author's hidden preferences for an obsessive brother complex shining through their work?" That's the whole reason why I started the topic, because character development can really make or break a good story. And personally, I did try to internalize their relationship as somewhat parent-child, but since the ICK happend so often I decided to ask.
Like for a most recent example, when the the writer refers to Yoojin's thoughts on his brother's original body, they say, "the body of the person he loved the most", and I think to myself, oh what interesting word choice. Why did they not instead say, "the body of his one and only family member". Cuz without any context, I feel like anyone would assume they were talking about their lover. That and a few other examples in the past, especially when it comes to Yoohyun's character, led me to think a certain way. And I can't help but wonder, what is the author implying, if they are implying anything at all.
Also I would rly appreciate u sharing that part of the novel you got the ick from. I'm rly curious. Thank u!

Yeah dw about it, the way the author uses “love” in this whole story is almost always in a platonic sense. Yoojin does love Yoohyun the most (and so does Yoohyun to Yoojin as well) but they’re talking about love more as “who has the strongest most deep connection” which doesn’t have to be romantic xD And yeah it’s hard describing this when we usually default to the most loved one being your partner.
As for the ick, this is spoilers for later on in the novel so just make sure you know that!
So yk how Hyunjae’s fragment in Yoojin’s body is basically creating a monster right? Well this monster sort of becomes their child in a way. Because he basically inherits Hyunjae’s looks and treats them both sort of as dads. And this is lowkey a big reason why Hyunjae and Yoojin are so family/partner/husbands coded.
Now here’s the thing, there’s ANOTHER being created with Yoojin and Yoohyun’s blood. And it feels SO weird that the creator tried to joke about them having a kid together (even though Yoojin also acknowledges that’s really fucking weird). At least for this kid, Yoohyun barely acknowledges his presence so it’s less that it’s “their kid” (which I find gross) and more that he had to borrow Yoohyun’s traits to create it. In other words there’s zero implied romanticism other than that weird joke and the kid is treated as Yoojin’s only.
Again, need to emphasize there is only pure platonic love between the brothers. I honestly think the whole reason why there’s jokes like this is because the author thinks actions that are prescribed to romantic don’t necessarily have to confined to romantic partners. But yeah, there’s no weird romanticized incest stuff in Sclass.

Good to know! Thanks so much. Although the author is kinda nuts for making it a joke, thank god they didn't go through with it. Hopefully it doesn't get pushed any further than this for the sake of my sanity. I feel like I've been gaslit. A part of me still thinks the author has a thing for bro-con, cuz otherwise suggestive things like Yoohyun's obsessive love nature towards his brother or a baby made of a mix of both their blood just would NOT be the typical route in a healthy family dynamic (I assume. Maybe for the author it is healthy familial love idk ). But I will believe u and will continue forward in good faith.

girl the fuck u talkin bout that's how some people feel about their siblings, i guess ur an only child... i'm a girl and i love my older brother like how hyj loves his brother does that mean i want to fuck my brother too?? pls don't imagine things like that and just stop reading this gem because ur fuckin disgusting
That orange juice literally has the audacity to crash out and say, "Don't touch him like that!" As if he didn't try to rape iltak the moment he thought iltak slept with hyunwoo. That and all the molestation he did to him in the past lmao. What he really meant was, "only I can molest iltak not you". And then he goes to his big daddy to take care of the problem. Orange juice is so bottom coded
Calling him bottom coded is so flippin funny(≧∀≦)
Green hair boi can top him i believe it
