as someone who’s read the novel, mc straight up has Stockholm syndrome, him and garon are endgame and he saves garon after the poison kills him. but i literally cannot tell you anything about garon that “redeems” him at all. he just tells him he loves him and stops trying to kill him…truly that’s all. So for mc to like him back, there’s no other explanation for it than stockholm syndrome. Garon never even apologizes for anything till the end of the story.

Lord Mugo about whom the other god was talking seems like our asshole Mugo, those vivid memories of him showing middle fingers and doing all sort of things were hilarious, but there he doesn't really looks like Sir Mugo. I don't remember correctly, but was it said that 2 other personalities appeared later? So what if real Mugo isn't sir one, but asshole one. Especially since he's currently most dominant personality and once was talking with reflection in the mirror that seemed extremely evil.
Also, someone in the comments, translated Mugo's name from Korean to Chinese and than English (not sure if it's correct tho, I know nothing about either of the 2 languages) and said it means something along the lines of ' falsely accused '. We also saw from asshole Mugo visions that someone dear to him was killed and that someone seemed to resemble MC. Plus other god mentioned that Mugo wasn't like other real gods ( because he was asked about being alpha, etc).
There was manhwa I once read, can barely remember anything, but there the boy was offered as sacrifice to huge mountain snake so snake can become a dragon (it's something from mythology) and than protect them. Snake evolved after eating sacrifice and could switch personalities, but not in the way Mugo do that. In that story the boy remained more like vengeful energy.
So, what if similar happened to Mugo. Maybe he was human and probably in love with the ancestor of our MC, than that guy died. Either the family than accused Mugo or Mugo himself wanted revenge so he was offered to the mountain snake. That can kinda explain why he eats sacrifices from the family. If they offered him to snake so they can get protection and wealth, Mugo's revenge can be eating their offspring same way they sacrificed him for wealth. Because guardian gods doesn't usually eat those they need to protect. And Mugo got multiple personalities because of his mixed emotions that separated became clear and strong .
(Sir Mugo is still fishy tho, way to good guy to be real)

Jisung did have lingering feelings for Choah, but interfered more out of concern than jealousy, and as we found out, rightly so. He accepted that they weren’t going to get back together and always tried to help Choah as a friend and mentor.
Choah genuinely loved, cared for, and supported both Jisung and Mujin when he was dating them respectively, and in terms of all the skeletons in Mujin’s closet, forgave and accepted far more than most would. The only time he wavers is when he learns about how Mujin killed his family, and even then he hesitates to truly end it.
Yusaran definitely felt strong affection and a certain degree of awe/reverence for Mujin, but was it love or emotional codependency? He knew that his feelings were unrequited through no fault of Mujin’s but was so enraged by his relationship that he violently interfered. He didn’t care about Mujin’s choices or emotions, he just wanted to sabotage a relationship he was jealous of.
Choah was assaulted by both Yusaran and the Baekrang, but things may have gone very differently if not for Mujin’s lies. He only complied with Yusaran’s abuse because he made threats on Mujin’s life, and at that point Choah was under the impression he was a strong, but average person, not a powerful and accomplished warrior. If he had known Yusaran couldn’t harm Mujin, he would have been able to refuse. The incidents with Baekrang involved him trying to take advantage of Choah while he was drunk or feeling the effects of opium, and later on a bit of coercion. If he had known Mujin’s identity and history, it’s unlikely he would have let his guard down.
Mujin never cared as much about Choah’s safety or happiness as he did for his own possessiveness. And that’s where it all went downhill. He murdered all of Choah’s loved ones seemingly for the purpose of preventing them from trying to separate them and told countless lies. His self centeredness is what drove him to the violence that ultimately destroyed their relationship. Even when Baekrang referenced that he and Choah had a sexual encounter, he didn’t even question it or ask Choah, he just assumed it was true, then left his lover alone at the mercy of a psychopath for days on end. He showed his true colors. He never loved Choah. He wanted to own him, and that’s what he did once the relationship fell apart.

Yusaran impression of Cho-ah was right, the moment he falls in love he will leave Mujin in a heartbeat. The first time he saw Baekrang he got all giddy and said he already missed him even if they just didn't talk for a day. Like WOW. You just met this person. Also I know it might just be a psychological response but how effed up is he to get even aroused and be aroused when Yusaran was SA/r@ping him? SERIOUSLY.
If anyone will say ahh it's bec he is naive etc. but he loosely says he loves Mujin over and over and yet he never listens to him, never choose him. I mean if I am Mujin I will always get anxious and that will bottle up till I explode.
PS: Not victim blaming (sheesh I dont need to overexplain this) I'm just saying Cho-ah decisions contributed to Mujin even drowning to a point of no return. He's done a lot of evil yes, but poor guy he just want a quiet and peaceful, ordinary life away from his destiny.
