imo, yes communication is key but it's really hard to do that if you're like them. it's really hard to speak your truth when circumstances made you that way. i really hope we can see more development from them since they weren't wrong. they just need to take things step by step since they are literally in step 0. oh sweet angst, i love and hate you so much.

I can't hate the ML for changing his feelings since he was just uncomfortable with OG Cayena's obssession. He didn't abuse her (i think) and he just pushed her away despite his issues. I would assume that any normal person would be uncomfortable with that too.
