Mmm I think araki has potential for character development, you should check out Love Nest it’s also a yaoi but the uke is sorta similar where they pretty much break up relationships on purpose (tho there’s backstory as to why and character development for the uke, plus some sort of karma for the uke)
i've read love nest and enjoyed it a lot, but araki and hoizumi were very different to me? hoizumi had a certain charm to him in change world which didn't make me hate him, but araki stayed conniving until the near ending. you're right though, there could be a good character development for him if the author chooses to do a spin off from his pov.
