I have been seeing a lot of comments talking about how her behavior towards her baby is unjustified because she didn't try to get any help and it's making me super sad so please read my comment only if you won't get salty with me.
I understand all your perspectives about asking for help and how babies are precious and don't deserve mistreatment no matter the circumstances, especially as someone raised in the 21st century!
But remember that these were olden times If she could just make things alright by speaking up, She wouldn't even have married Harsen in the first place. It was a duty entrusted upon women, barely legal age to marry/be sold off for political connections and start making babies for the house/family. Women were only decoration and baby-making machines in those times so please try to understand things from the FL's perspective taking into account her upbringing, the societal rules of her time, and also how powerless women were in comparison to men in those times. I mean her newborn son enjoyed more privilege than her in terms of education, owning property, etc.

And to be honest who knows what stigma was attached to mental health in that era. She must have been so scared having scary thoughts about her baby........
Also didn't they tell her she had or could get depression when she was pregnant and the doctor recommended her to take a walk....like...she got help and that was it.
Somebody needs to smack that ML in the head and get him to do his freaking JOB!!!

For people asking what just happened, recall back to her teacher's assignment: anyone who finds out the Prince's goal for being there gets the study guide to the big exam which is a near guarantee to pass.
Our MC watched her siblings fail and get kicked out so she devised a plan to give her a *reason* for being in the room. If he could not kick her out for even just a certain amount of time, that would give her more time than her siblings to find out his purpose. The prince, however, shows that he knew the scheme this whole time and repeatedly (but cryptically) warns her at each step. The MC, not realizing the he knows that she ordered her servant to plant an object in his office, thinks that he keeps saying she's too confident or too forward in the way she's acting. In reality, he is saying that but also saying she was too confident about this whole situation, thinking that she wouldn't get caught or that her family didn't have an actual involvement in the big scam beyond falling prey to scammers.
I don't care how long I have to wait or even how many volumes this series has but PLEASEEEE... I need to see them end up happily ever after in the END!!

i’m reading the novel too and i can’t believe it’s been so many chapters and it feels like nothing has happened yet :/ he doesn’t know about her abuse, there hasn’t been a baby, we’re just kind of watching her grow. don’t get me wrong, i love her development, but the story is starting to get repetitive and has little to no conflict right now

hmm so so far, maxi has only overcome it a little bit, but riftan still doesn't know about her trauma.
the only struggle was decorating the castle, bc the merchant was tryna rip her off
its mostly fluff, they have some smut moments, then riftan left for somewhere for like 30+ chapters, and she learned magic, he came back, more smut, basically all fluff, no second ml or contender against maxi :)
