From my understanding, all the lamb died meaning Dennis fell into the abyss since Dennis symbolizes as the lamb, I dunno what happened to Todd though, I think he disappeared because he is the abyss himself.

He definitely is a shapeshifter. There’s too many clues pointing to him being the coyote (the eyes, hair color, him growling and biting Dennis’s nose, his leg injury that mysteriously happened after Dennis shot the coyote..) I don’t think Todd’s shapeshifting ends there though. I’m assuming he turns into whatever is most tempting to whoever he needs to manipulate (like the other shepherds—the owner warns Dennis to only trust the sheep, but never makes a direct warning to a human or Todd himself).
