she's so much stronger than me cause if I was in her situation i'd be in that castle twiddling my thumbs for the rest of my life.
doesn't seem like she's trying to avoid execution. she had the opportunity to avoid becoming the emperor's personal doctor, a position that increases her chance of becoming executed rather than living as a witch in some woods.
