yeah I read the whole novel and while I think it has a satisfying ending(tho bittersweet) the majority of the story was fckn awful to get through, the good parts are only after chapter 100 and even then the MC has so much ptsd it's sad(╯°Д °)╯╧╧

(there's alot that happens both for Nox(MC) and Khalid(ML) as well as political stuff that's pretty in-depth but it's to much to summarize, so enjoy my very shit explanation; the misunderstanding between Nox(MC) and Khalid(ML) gets cleared up around chapter 95-100 after Khalid(ML) talks to a old man they used to know as kids and he found out that Nox(MC) didn't abandon him he actually made him leave in order to protect Khalid(ML) so he wouldn't be abused anymore or tortured as a kid), Nox(MC) goes on a huge revenge streak. Peltion(2nd ML) rapes Nox(MC) in front of Khalid after they had cleared their misunderstanding so as revenge Khalid(ML) kills Peltion(2nd ML) under Nox's command. Nox became the next king after rising to the top after he cleared the misunderstanding with Khalid(ML). Khalid as a kingslayer(since he killed peltion(2nd ML), was supposed to be executed but later got pardoned under the rule that he was forbidden to bear any descendants if he wanted to live and after that he basically stayed by Nox's(MC) side as his personal guard. Khalid(ML) and Nox(MC) don't end up together romantically since Nox(MC) never truly forgives Khalid(ML) for what he did to him plus Nox(MC) isn't in love with him to begin with.

The story has a bittersweet ending cuz Nox(MC) never really recovers from the abuse he went through due to Khalid(ML) raping and torturing him all through out the story.

omg im glad nox didnt forgive khalid and i like that it wasnt stockholm syndrome (plus he never loved him anyways like u said) but im glad he got out of that, and thank u smmm
