Labeling him as nonchalant overlooks the moments where he has shown genuine concern and even jealousy, indicating his deep feelings for Akane.

Their relationship has developed over time, with both characters learning to understand and support each other despite their individual challenges. Dismissing Yamada’s character without considering these nuances does a disservice to the story’s depth. It’s essential to engage with the narrative fully before forming opinions, as this allows for a more comprehensive understanding of the characters and their development.

Furthermore, the pure suggestion of introducing a second male lead based on this seems unnecessary. Yamada has shown his dedication, such as when he was willing to distance himself from other women to ensure Akane’s comfort. Statements like “If she doesn’t smile, there’s no point,” and “Because I’m going to marry your older sister,” highlight his commitment.
