To many characters are introduced in the span of like 2 minutes, I couldn't even tell batman and superman apart. I swear I read the story word-for-word but it feels like I skimmed over the whole thing.
Very fun cross-over story but moves fast since it's just a one-shot.
The 2nd ML clocking the assassin MLs tea is hilarious. Like yes, he does look like a horse at slaughter lmao. I feel like he's purposefully lighting a fire under the ML but also telling him what he needs to fix before the FL and him can get back together.
I thinks he was calling out the ML destructive and harmful tendencies and how he fights like he has nothing to lose, but if he wants to be together ith the FML then he does have something to lose, her.
The 2nd ML loves her enough to want her to be with the best person, even if it means threatening her very scary boyfriend. He knows she only has the assassin in her heart, so why not test him and make him see that his destructive tendencies is actually hurting not helping.

I 100% get this and it would make sense to me in any other scenario but like she only has a month left max and shinpei objectively sucks but rn he's kinda the only person fighting for what she actually wants, and that's all he's been fighting for this entire time so I don't really get him testing him rn. His destructive tendencies were what actually got them off of the island

Okay so I see some people talking about all the parts of the plot that felt incomplete and not explored properly;
(the evil sister not really getting her karma, the parents fate was never explained, her non-existent relationship with her brother and how he knows the count, the Counts Dad just leaving his son to run the household and Never having contact with him, is the Ex-fiance and his family going to go bankrupt)
but honestly, the author did such a good job on the main couples romantic development and FMLs character growth.
Like I could ignore the plots shortcomings because the character were written to well, and I just gotta thank the author for that haha (●'◡'●)

Hey so there's demons in this manwha, and there's also no specific period. it's a bit of a mix of periods, georgian, regency and victorian. eleven if it was a specific period, it's pretty accurate, even the flare under the vest
Well if we use our thinking caps we can realize this is fictional and not based of any specific time period from history.
Well if we use our thinking caps for a bit longer we can also realise that fiction takes inspiration from real experience and events. This is historical fantasy and if you have ever written any time of material you can realise that you need to do some type of research into the subject matter. Using modern clothes in a historical setting, is lazy not imaginative just because this is fiction.

It’s called historical fantasy for a reason. I’m just as passionate about historical accuracy as the next person, but only if it’s really important to the story (e.g the story revolves around revolutionising the tea industry or whatnot). This story is has fantastical elements like knights and dragons and demons, so I think having some mashup between the typical fantasy garbs we’ll see in media like game of thrones and a modern day look would be fine.
What? I couldn't tell if you never told me! Okay jokes aside, like my issue isn't even the historical inaccuracies it's how the clothes are oddly reminiscent to me of Taobao/Shein clothes. It's way too modern for my taste breaks the immersion for me. Especially the hunting outfit straight outta some fashion tiktok bloggers account. JAIL or in Anne of Green Gables words, leaves no scope of imagination. I want authors to fuck around and play with colours and high fashion. Like make my brain itch. GIVE ME MORE
You forget that she's not originally from this time. These clothing changes are also connected to the changes in her personality and how she finally has more of it. Before she wore gaudy boring dresses that got damaged af when they were traveling. She smartened up and learned to wear pants and a light jacket.
This isn't exactly just a "historical fantasy". Its also high-fantasy. She has to stand out or else she just looks like every other boring character.
Finding out the connection between the MC and the ML was kinda romantic~

Okay so reading about how the Butcher ML knew the MC and his POV was so romantic omg.
The ML was the MCs first fiancee, but since theirs was an arranged marriage, he decided to get to know more about her from afar and fell in love. His family was accused of treason so he had to escape but went by her house and left her a cherry blossom branch (omfg I'm in love~).
So yeah, the MC never saw his face when they were engaged so she didn't know, but after the ML see's her again later in life when she was on fiancee #2 he falls in love all over again, realizing he still yearned for her after all these years.
I love a simp and I especially love a consent-honoring simp !!! Like never did he act like a creep towards her, even when he needed to give his-self a handy
Honestly a solid plot and fun characters. The art is fantastic and there's no unnecessary fan-service or overly annoying characters. Love the MC, and the sense of humor this manga has (nothings too serious but also not overly goofy). I'm so happy I found this
