Yeah vol 3 was a rollercoaster of emotions, after re reading the past volumes i kinda thought that storylinewise vol 4 -memory of kingdom- is probably gonna be the actual main story of fangs and origin of the vampires themselves while en and ichii's story (vol 1-3) are just the epilogue

This is gonna be quite long so I'll just try to spoil a bit of vol 3 for certain characters like en ,megi and, utsugi.
-it turns out that the reason en says he doesn't have a home or a family is because he's actually an orphan, this kinda explain why he admires or is fascinated by umesaki's family pictures (ch9), momo and umesaki's relationship (vol.2 extra), and mariko and her son's pictures and memorabilia (ch13).
-utsugi is called as your highness by some characters due to him actually being the progenitor of all the vampires in the story, he refers immortality as a curse that's why in ch 9 he says that it's probably all his fault. Since the next vol. will be more about the origin of the vampires he's probably gonna play a big role in volume 4.
- megi says in ch14 that their are no such things as vampires and back then from the start there are only 5 of them. ig in my understanding the vampires in this story aren't technically vampires but more like immortal beings that are inflicted with vampirism.
I was about to explain about ichii's past and about the whole harem thing but that was kinda big spoiler, when vol 3 gets officially released in October you'll just get to read it there.
All I can say for the ending of volume 3 is 'utsugi can just do that!? Why didn't he already did that right from the start?' and 'megi I'll never forgive for what you did to mariko and my boy'.

This one's a pretty long spoiler too, so....
- A group that are all paired and is under the control of one vampire is called a harem. Mass pairings were already a thing back before the pairing system. Megi created the group for his purification experiment for the purpose of purifying his own blood so that he could turn human again (well that's what he believes though) and basically having the members do his biddings.
The group were involved in mysterious events, their crimes was put to a stop 30 years ago which was called the harem dissolution case. The cause of this is because a poison was brought into the harem and was shared to each member causing their blood to be contaminated, this incident caused the death or injury of 115 vampires. Ichii was the only one who survived.
-Ichii was the very first member of the harem megi created. He has been with megi for about 50 years and was exploited by him to do all sorts of things. 30 years ago on the day of the harem dissolution, ichii was the one who poisoned megi in an attempt to kill him and escape the harem but megi realized what he had drink so he started draining and sharing his blood to everyone saying that it's his act of generosity.
after that everyone drank the poisonous blood causing them to be in ecstasy and pain before dying. The death of those people is megi's punishment to ichii on what he had done to him. That's why ichii bares the guilt of everyone's death up until the present and does his best to atone for his sins by working in the organization.
