The details is what tells you this author actually bothers researching/studying to make a story good~.
It's not all too common anymore tbh, so I'm happy about this.

SAME! These things are always neglected by most authors or held so vague they don't need to research things. That's why people who DO put in the effort always end up being my favourite authors. The stories are just much more immersive and impressive usually. ^^

AGREEEE! SO ON POINTTT! A character’s background gonna be interesting if the author researched about the character’s job and knows the struggles and stuff of it, which is rare to see ngl. We need more in depth backgrounds of the characters to understand them more (｡ŏ﹏ŏ) When some author introduced their character like “I work as blah blah” and the author wouldn’t even bother researching just a few info like what do we do with that uninteresting and nonsense info that doesn’t even contribute to his overall character? Well some are just for show or not the focus of the story (still tho, it makes the character interesting if they add those details) ( ꈍᴗꈍ) sorry for yapping lmao

Exactly~. <3 Having a detailed, realistic backstory or display of occupation makes a character just so much better. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
The immersion level goes up, the emotions you can feel and you just root for them more on their journey in the story. It's become WAY too common to ignore this important aspect of writing these past years, tho it helps seperating the casual writers from the cream of the crop I suppose. XD
I suppose many authors just deem it unnecessary because they think all their audience will care about is a bunch of guys bonking in the story, yet they forget that the more authors neglect this aspect of writing, the more shallow the audiences expectations and general level of storytelling will become (and oh BOY has that happened clearly already - I stopped counting the times people complained about actual plot being the focus instead of just random sex scenes, how sad is that? XD).

And no worries! I don't think it's yapping, just gushing over something you (and I too) are passionate about, so don't worry: I'm right next to you doing the same! It's rare people appreciate the intricacies of writing, so I love seeing someone else around that loves this detail in stories~ (●'◡'●)ﾉ

I seriously dropped a lot of stories because the authors seemed to not focus on how the plot flows and instead focus more on the relationships, which is good too, but like, hello? What about the problems needed to be solved? No character development? So after they got together the plot stops there and won’t progress and all they do is seggs? This is so annoying, really. Their stories gonna be so bland, like just recycling—trash ( ･﹏･)

All my fav stories have awesome plots but then the comments gonna ruin it cuz ppl out there saying they don’t understand a single thing and were happy that the main characters did the deed and hopes for a happy ending, like ????? Why bother reading it when all you gotta do is complain how amazing the plot is ಠ︵ಠ

Plus authors nowadays prefer making toxic relationships and there won’t be ANY character development (readers gonna say the character has a development but that character only did one nice thing lol that’s not how it works hskxhss)

But well, it is definitely rare to see any stories that have decent plots, or how the problems are not the same as miscommunication and stuff which is like so overused it’s become so annoying (will drop the story if author gonna drag it longer). AS A WRITER MYSELF, I JUST WANT OTHER PPL TO APPRECIATE THE PLOT AND THE AUTHORS TO ACTUALLY EXERT EFFORT INTO BUILDING THEIR CHARACTERS ( ꈍᴗꈍ) this was longer that i thought helpp-
