Also, Tsubakiās crush on Yuu could be labeled with the term āpuppy loveā, which isnāt typically associated with pedophilia or shotacons.

Glossed over?? The author didn't gloss over it, they created a whole ass chapter about the character coming to terms with it and understanding that if he literally doesn't mind, it's not something he needs to worry about.
I know people do not like to acknowledge this sorta thing, but this is what reality is like: If you don't mind the advances of someone, then it's not needed to make a huge deal out of it and act like it's a criminal offense. Some people simply do not care to see this as a problem. Similar to the saying of: "The sound of hooves doesn't mean it's necessarily a horse." (For some it is a horse, others know to expect a zebra.
