Suha, my boy, how is Jiwoon supposed to ever trust you again if you lie to him so easily? Stop lying left and right, breaking his trust in you, after all the things you’ve been through together!!! That’s so dumb (but realistic in a way, because sometimes people lie because they don’t want to hurt others, but that just brings more issues on the long run)

Oh, dropping this. I thought this will be about the queen and her teacher, but it’s about the king and his ho*s. It’s unfortunate because I really like both the queen and the teacher, but this is making me very angry so I cannot continue. I wish the queen and the teacher all the luck and love in this work because they deserve it though. Hope the king loses his throne, bye

i haven't read any straight eastern historical romance manhwas that I would say can be considered "good" tbh. but "north snow love story" seems promising and has pretty art, though i feel like some might find the ml pretty annoying.
but in overall straight romance manhwas, these are my all time favorites
1) secret lady — absolutely stunning art and a wonderful story. it is mystery/romance and is set in a fantasy european timeline and FL can see ghosts. it is still ongoing but if u like a bit of a slowburn with a really sweet couple and lots of mystery this one is for u. and it has tons of complex characters.
2) white blood — this is completed. again very beautiful art and story. the side characters and villains are also veryyy well written. it IS action/romance but it's really well balanced it's so good. It is set in modern society where vampires are going on a rampage and turning/killing people and FL is a pureblood vampire who is also veryyy pure in heart. like you will love her so much i swear.
3) daytime star — completed. the typical romance with beautiful art. it's been a while since I read it but i remember having fun. FL is an actress who only got extra roles for a long time and then gets cheated on by her longtime bf who gives her a wedding invitation. then she gets involved with a senior actor etc. It's a fun one.
i have yet to read a stepmother's marchen (ongoing) bc I know it veryy heavy on the angst but I've heard it's also really good

Thank you so much for the recommendations I’ll add all of them to my list and give the completed ones a try.
I don’t have a specific genre in mind, but I’d like something with a good plot, which does not involve cheating between the main characters (especially if it’s late in the story or constant) or love triangles/rectangles/etc. (because I tend to root for the character who is not the endgame ). Also, I want a happy ending for the story

Ok, I’m really sad and disappointed by where this story is going. Poor Matthew, that really sucks. All the worries and insecurities he was having have been now confirmed by Jin. It breaks my heart.
Also, poor Jin, he has been through so many terrible things, he is definitely not ok at all
I’m so MAD at Jin, but at the same time I feel sorry for him too.
That mummy needs to leave them alone.

You know how backstories usually make you feel bad for the villain?
Well, this one made me hate him even more

I mean they’ve been through enough already.
At this point, if I won’t get at least a 20 chapters side story about Zigrien and Idris being so happy and having a fluffy, loving, caring, sweet and supportive relationship, while that weirdly looking mosquito is tortured for life (NOT DEAD), I’ll throw hands

I guess this is an unpopular opinion, but I really don’t like Sanho If Tak acts cute, Sanho is yelling and complaining. If Tak doesn’t act cute, Sanho is AGAIN yelling and complaining about it. You just can’t win with him. I just think Sanho is that type of person who just sucks up all your energy

You hit the nail on the head, Sanho gets so caught off guard when he IS listened to you can tell it’s because he’s not used to it. He’s been put in a box of being a loud idiot his whole life so he just plays into it, he’s even said so in the past. You put up that act for so long it’s hard to drop it.
I think just like how Tak isn’t used to thinking about other people the more their story goes on the more used to being more thoughtful (Tak) and less reactive (Sanho) will be. Their growth will be sooo good.
(๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I really hope so because I really want to see that growth. What you said just makes me cry because even irl people just assume things about you or label you in a certain way or just assume you are the same as you used to be 10 years ago. And it’s so hard to overcome that and convince people that that’s not the case, that at some point you just roll with it even though there is more to you than just that.
I still think he is too much sometimes, but thanks for the comment, it really helped me look at him from a different perspective and I feel for him now I have mixed feelings hahha

Ofc! It’s a sign of a good character for there to be mixed feelings, imo. Plus I like to think the creators would enjoy discussions like this where their characters aren’t universally hated or loved. That being said, I also agree with you that Sanho can be too much the way he is now lol.
:3 I’m just rooting for them both to grow and become happier, together.

I really liked the uke, and I was hoping the author would dive more into his identity crisis, and the way he feels about being a demon. He definitely deserves better than the psycho ex and the douchebag (I guess?!) current boyfriend (or housemate/fwb idk).
I didn’t like the seme at all, the only good thing he did was to save the uke, other than that meh.
All the sa/r@p3 was painful to watch and unnecessary, and it felt like the seme wasn’t really fazed by it in a way. Also, the fact that the seme did not change at all pains me, because I really think the uke deserves better than someone who doesn’t acknowledge the relationship, and has sex with someone else.
Yes, they weren’t in an official relationship and I get that some people do not consider that cheating, but for me it felt like cheating. I mean, from my point of view, if you have feelings for someone you won’t sleep with another person, but I guess I’m not as open minded as other people, and that’s fine, everyone has different boundaries and opinions.
So, in case you hate a cheating trope (or cheating while their not official, but quite far in the story), then maybe it won’t be a good idea to read this (or just skip ch 15).

Omg, I agree with you. I was so mad when the seme was making out with the friend when uke was already kidnapped and getting rape. It was so heartbreaking. I don't think that cheating since they were not an official yet, but i still don't like how it goes. I feel like it is more force of feeling. Like seme didn't show much that he like the uke. Even at the end, he is still feeling uncertain about uke and the contract but then all of a sudden he was like "you should already know how I feel bc I have a contact blahblahblah..." like the feeling is just not there, it feel more like using and just being nice. I think it would be better if the seme just save uke, and uke look for a new contract or they could be in a contract and never meet each other again. I mean, it seem to me like he got his wish.
Suha, nooo What are you doing??
It sucks when someone lies to your face so easily and you already know that. I was in a similar situation and I was never able to trust that person again.
I liked Suha so much, but I’m starting to change my mind
