This reads like really old school yaoi tbh! Trashy antagonists shadow characters, awfully traumatic backstory that kinda looms over the plot, the characters are happy but are they really? Man I'm here for it!
That’s what I’m thinking, it doesn’t feel finished. I mean the relationship seems finished for the most part(it ends with the implication that they’ll get to that stage eventually) but something stills feels missing.
