am i the only one that was so incredibly disappointed with how this ended?? am i missing something?? there was SO many plot holes mf looked like swiss cheese. what happened when doha sent MC (i forgot his name) away in the car?? what on earth was that rushed chase arc from doha that literally did not last more than a chapter? what did doha do to get the antagonist off his back?? why was he suddenly amicable with his friend/brother despite there still being SO many unresolved issues- like how the guy never once believed in doha and how doha never got to prove his innocence???
the story was fine up until the most half assed climax i have ever seen, before promptly taking a nose dive. there’s a difference between creative liberty and leaving things open and ambiguous for your readers to interpret differently and uniquely, and then there’s just being a straight up lazy writer who so clearly rushed the end of this story and wanted to be done with it as soon as possible. like did i skip a whole season? i don’t understand how a story can be derailed and thrown down the shitter SO quickly…
i finished this story, but im left with more questions than when i started :/
sure, maybe, but we still never got anything close to an apology from him. clearly the guy was written to be a bit of an asshole, but there are times when you should show that your character has some humanity. otherwise why bother attempting to give him redemption?? btw not grinding ur ass for ur take, just also giving my thoughts on ur response :)
Yh! I wrote a longer message on my review actually haha. I also think having *no hints* on what happened is weird, I just thought the link between the security tape and glasses forgiving Doha might've been missed by some readers since the author... has a knack for not explaining things. I do think this case was a better example of the author trying to, i guess, show not tell since I think it's not that we NEED these circumstances to be fed to us, and some reading between the lines is ok, but all the other untied threads had NO reading in between the lines and was just left to our imagination... If that was even the point. Hard to explain myself, I just think that everything else you said is correct (and I actually have a lot more criticisms on the writing), but I can admire the only successful attempt of show-not-tell that the author was trying to embed into every loose end which didn't work nearly as well(the good case being the security tape and brother's forgiveness). The author 100% should've hinted at the brother understanding Doha in the last funeral scene because even though glasses was an asshole, he did have a "reason" to be, leaving it so open-ended actually betrays what we've seen of him.

I think what’s gonna happen is that Hyunwoo & Hyungjoo are not gonna become friends but they’re gonna become love rivals that at least respect each other. Hyunwoo recognizing Hyungjoo cares deeply about Iltak enough to put his pride to the side and ask for his help despite hating him, and Hyungjoo begrudgingly respecting Hyunwoo for his superior fighting prowess and physical capabilities.
They’re still gonna hate each others guts, but they’re both gonna try and win iltak’s heart by their own efforts and not playing dirty.
This one I think is less likely but still plausible; iltak grapples and eventually accepts the fact that he likes men too, and grows to feel guilty for that one guy he bullied in middle school for being gay. I don’t think this will happen but it’s still a possibility so I wanna stake my claim on it now if it does end up happening LOL
Anyways, I think the third ML is gonna be the guy that iltak bullied in middle school. I think he’ll be nice on the surface, but is actually trying to take revenge on iltak by trying to make iltak fall for him just so he can dump him and break his heart. Then Hyunwoo and Hyungjoo put their differences aside to form a temporary alliance to get rid of the shared evil [bonus points if iltak is a moron again and trusts the new ML over those two and yaps about how they’re just jealous someone’s nice to him]
anyways hyunwoo bend me over please i mean what
