It is still a wonder to me why some people can't say no and be firm against others persuasion even in real life. Bcoz if it's me, no one can persued me if I really don't like what other's are offering. Or perhaps because I don't really care what other's may think of me or whatever. Socializing is not really my cup of tea so I don't give a damn. Once I already said No, then it's a NO!

It's pretty obvious from this and other titles that drinking in certain countries is about much more than "socializing". These outings are the spaces in which people network for opportunities and solidify their positions in different groups, whether it's for school and/or their careers. In an earlier chapter we see Seol Chaewoo comment that he used to be the centre of attention/the favourite when he was more socially active in such circles. Having had to stop devoting energy to activities like that to focus on making ends meet had a negative impact on his musical prospects. Now he no longer even has expectations of having a musical career.
It's very easy to come on a message board and opine "Just be firm" but I am 100% sure in your real life that you have agreed to do things you didn't want to do. And everyone cares about what others think of them to different degrees. It just depends on the who and the circumstance.
That vlogger should learn his lesson. Asking permission is a basic manner you should have done. You're just plain shit asshole!
