I my opinion its because she feel guilty that she got caught and she wanted to take the blame only onto herself not him, so even though he voluntarily denounced himself, she still feels guilty about it :D

tbh i actually like the 2nd arc maybe i’m just a slow burn domesticity trash like that but i really wished the first arc showed a bit more of their couple at the end i wanted to at least see a little more of them
