I don't think it will be the same as those stories. But there' shouldn't be a problem with a girl character being possessive or an asshole, specially since it's a new type of story. We rarely get girls who went from being dominating asshole to gentle lover. And I think we need some of that. Lol

Do you happen to know anything about the rumor that this story has ended, but continued in another story marked with the BL tag?
I think the author may have abruptly ended original manga (the first link) but it is the 1st volume of the story. The Reload one (second link) has the same characters+more but it is a continuation, not a remake. I think both the first volume and Reload are pretty gay but one won't make sense without the other.

I did not have an impression that it should be a remake, rather a deviation from the non-BL into a BL but with otherwise continue the storyline. At least that is what I understood.
