Woah there, let’s not use compare Aria and her mother to stray dogs. Let’s also not say that stray dogs are vicious like that. I own a couple and they’re the sweetest animals I’ve got. Had he not testified against his sister, he probably would have been sent to jail or maybe hung. So his sentence was fine. You act like him betraying his family was a bad thing for him to do. It was his best option. Technically he wasn’t really apart of the whole treason fiasco, but not stopping them from the start does make him guilty to an extent. He was like bystander, but at the same time not. He had suspicions of what was happening but didn’t put effort to stop it. And once they were all caught he finally said something because he no longer felt completely useless. (Which sucks cause he was never useless, but he failed to realize that until it was too late.)

but again, biting the hand that feeds you refers to acting badly towards someone who helped you. You’re acting like it was the counts fault for helping them when in reality that wasn’t why he ended up dead. Aside from marrying the mom and allowing the daughter to live at the house he didn’t really help them. It’s the whole reason the MC wanted revenge against him because he was mistreating them and didn’t actually care about them.
