I know Ash is a child but im genuinely so annoyed how he’s never disciplined properly so this is what you get a kid that thinks “knows better” than adults despite being overly sheltered. It’s honestly realistic how he’d just to this extreme of a reaction to “run away” given his upbringing and especially in this media focused times, children “grow up” but don’t actually know how to handle “grown up” emotions as they can’t still properly regulate.
I don’t even understand the point of takatora being an omega if he never actually experiences what it means to be an omega in the proverbial sense. He cuts out his whom and still remains just as chauvinistic, entitled and selfish despite this “setback”. Yes he’s no longer on the highest pedestal but his disregard for others in all ways is just inherent it seems. It’s actually really hard to read this because he’s genuinely such an awful person in such a realistic way of someone who’s always had his way and maintains that mindset to the bitter end.
Is it me or the MC’s appearance constantly keeps changing? Like his face will look way more masculine one minute then “uke-like” within panels of each other. Then his height is all over the place as well as his stature in musculature it is actually really distracting.
So we have perfectly logical MC proceed to be raped by the love interest because he’s acting “aloof” and the MC acknowledges this occurrence and just takes this in stride…. I know this is just a dumb plot but make up your mind is he dumb or plot dumb….
JJ is the Ben Affleck type. And this is not a compliment. I said what I said
I like the idea but I don’t like is how MC was very much trying to date rape but getting ML purposely drunk enough to sexually make a move on. That’s not okay nor should it be seen as funny.
As much as I love that the plot is plotting, there is nothing compelling about our main character eventually beginning a romantic relationship as we know with his charge as we know will happen. Our MC is nothing but a political pawn and prisoner to the crown prince. He has no actually autonomy true in any of the political games he’s been forced onto the board to now defend a royal power that has no care for whether he lives or dies as long as he serves his purpose. Despite the prince being the younger, the power imbalance and worse given that the prince now cannot be certain who to trust and not trust, our MC may be compelled to fill in roles that a growing boy would require to properly be “well adjusted”. Maybe the author may be able to spin this in a way that will eventually evolve into love, but from my current guess we’ll get an obsession/ possession dynamic between the two more so than anything that one would consider a love story.
So while the author has previously written self respecting confident mutually equal relationships, here we the audience are suppose to accept that an independent, self assured kickass boxer will just end up with a piece of shit fuckboy because we just needed yet another romanticized toxic douche getting a “happy ending” instead of any sense of humbling because he’s drawn to be hot.
One of those enemies to lovers plot that truly make zero sense as to why they would end up together. The ML is just homophobic and toxic for literally no reason decides to blame MC for something he had absolutely nothing to do with plus tarnish the reputation of the only person who was genuinely nice to him. And MC instead of saying fuck this I don’t want anything to do with this piece of shit and now forcibly interacting with this guy at his own detriment, because BL logic. Fucking stupid. The ML is also a fuckboy who likes to play mind games as shown in the Raws. Aren’t Korean authors exhausted by constantly churning out toxic narratives as their bread and butter.

I just don’t understand how MC’s royalty but a duke who is a lesser aristocrat can forcibly imprint on the royal prince and have his way with him without repercussions? Couldn’t he just be killed or made an example of going beyond his station? Why even have the MC be a prince of he doesn’t wield any useful power? Other than his occupation and appearance meet a trope and author probably just liked.
I just do not understand this plot. Are we suppose to collectively gaslight ourselves into forgetting how abusive the ML has been and that he’s utterly an asshole but yes he’s deserving of the MC simply because he’s the love interest? I get that MC has been in fact annoying and pushy, but why not write a clear concise rejection, rather than this dynamic of let’s torture him because it’s funny. This is the same bullshit energy that is the dynamic of Ashita wa Docchi Da! that is so beloved among this community it’s no surprise an author saw the romanticized bs that is Kirara and Ken’s relationship and plots similar to its dynamic and ran with just an extreme for laughs. Abusive relationships are not funny and it truly baffles me this is entertaining to people, it’s just legitimizes them as normal.
It’s the useless slut straight Top x emotionally scarred caregiver Bottom trope. There’s a couple of them that can kind of make it make sense why the two would get together but this one makes just so little sense for it. It’s a trope that’s annoyingly egregious because why would someone be this much of a pushover fully knowing it’s in their worst interests to get involved with a man who’s only currency is their dick can get hard but is otherwise a complete bum.
I get the impression this is going to be unnecessarily toxic and messy
Obviously this is gorgeously drawn but the plot is left to be desired. Nothing makes sense. For someone who is a fucking heart surgeon to be this easily swayed and lacking in all common sense and in one breath acknowledge he was raped and then willingly get in his rapist’s car …. Le sigh such pretty art.
