I like this plot like I really do. But realistically they just wouldn’t work with this much of an age difference and extreme life experience and that’s reinforced by this latest chapter 19. Yiyoung would be extremely insecure having never been with anyone prior and his need to meet the standards of his much older partner would mean growing up faster than he needs to grow into himself and make the messy mistakes that actually come with his age and the growing pains of your twenties. Literally look at what’s happening with Sophie turner and Joe Jonas* for this very reason, I kind of wish we had a time skip with Yiyoung in his actual 30s before the two of them had become a thing but it is what it is. I still love this plot given how “healthy” compared anything else that’s come out lately, but it certainly isn’t realistic.
Edit: I believe Yiyoung has “dated” before but I don’t think he’s been physical with anyone before Daehyung likely
This is very cliche. Playboy is taught love. Virgin is taught sex.
I don’t even find this sexy it’s kind of terrifying. And with the translation being confusing it doesn’t help in establishing what’s actually happening. All I see is a down on his luck guy falsely informed on a either a “easy robbery/ beat down” only to be brutally raped by some monster and later fall in love with this monstrosity because reasons….
The whole plot is garbage. From the dumb young master allowing his piece of shit crush to crawl his way back into his life after how poorly he treated and abused him. To an older brother who deeply wronged his younger brother and now suffers being raped and blackmailed by a half brother who is the spawn of human waste. The plot is utter garbage.
I really don’t understand what the author has the Ulysses and Randolph side story. You know it’s fan service at its peak for its straight cis female readers when Ulysses’s harem of men who we learned he acquired out of sport through your standard manipulation and underhanded methods that when a stereotypical masculine presenting dominate characters displays readers call foul but when a femme character does it- further playing into the very real stereotypes of “dangerous predatory” gay language surrounding men unable to hide their more obvious sexual inclination- it’s seen as a great achievement to be celebrated. Worse Ulysses has actually physically and sexually assaulted Randolph an act that got a previous shitty blond king assassinated for his harem of sexually dominated playthings subjected to regularly. It’s ironic that Ulysses is a direct juxtaposition to the Demonic king but he gets his own side story and is celebrated for it. It’s gross but ultimately is so expected why am I even bothering myself, but I do want to point out to readers that this subplot is just as problematic as the main story we so angrily sided with in hope for a predator’s demise, but here is celebrated.
