Lots of things are fruits, vegetable is a culinary term there is no such thing as a vegetable outside of the culinary use. That doesn't magically make it taste good, just because it's a fruit. In fact, lots of fruit tastes bad. Watermelons are horrible in the same way as tomatoes, but unlike raw tomatoes the smell of watermelon gives me a headache. Other terrible fruits include mango, pineapple, papaya, any apple that isn't granny Smith, pears, cantaloupe. Guava tastes bad too, but somehow guava juice is good. Peaches are eh but canned peaches are good.

They're good cooked or dried, but when they're raw and touch my tongue I simply have to wash my mouth out.

Dude just say you hate fruits no need to make just a long drama over it. Your question was why everyone is eating raw tomato and it's answer is raw tomatoes can be eaten. Nobody asked if you hate fruits or not or whether you would eat raw meat or raw tomatoes!

I love fruits, idk what you're talking about. I never said I hated fruits. There are just a lot of bad fruits, just because something isn't poison to eat it doesnt mean humans should eat them. Also, my original comment wasn't just asking that, I don't know what happened but my comment was much longer. I don't think mangago censored it just because I swore in it, but it isn't the entire comment that I originally posted.

Raw tomatoes cannot be eaten, they can only be eaten if you hate yourself and want to punish yourself. If you love raw tomatoes so much it would be easier to go stick one up your ass, since the body absorbs things faster rectally, like suppositories.
