in the entire story, u could see how bum is depicted as this frail, scrawny guy that despite being 23, he looks like he's 12 at most, and is still short & nothing but skin & bones, so much so that u can even see his ribcage.
in yoon bum's backstory, it was revealed by his uncle that bum's late mother was actually the uncle's ex girlfriend who was then "stolen" by his brother, bum's late father. he then follows up by saying that he's glad yoon bum wasn't blessed with any of the parent's genes or genetics (looks, height, etc) - meaning that they were presumably attractive.
could it be that bc of the immense physical abuse and prolonged neglect that yoon bum underwent throughout his childhood until puberty by his uncle, his hormones didn't develop properly? he didn't receive a proper growth spurt due to being starved as a punishment and abused in all kinds of ways repeatedly.
if he was raised in a caring home with proper food and safety, maybe he would've grown to be tall, healthy and handsome just like oh sangwoo?
